You sure we'll not need a proper spinner? Even thought Yasir did struggle, but he was our best bowler in the two games that we won.

TBH, I am happy about this. Him and Sarfaraz are two unfit players of the team.

He had a stellar season with the bat in QeA Trophy, if i remember correctly. Wouldn't mins either of them as the 4th seamer and no.8 batsman

Was thinking of different stuff and suddenly a thought passed my mind. Why not play IFTIKHAR? Has been in great form in QeA and can bowl too. High back lift, classy player.

I feel Junaid might be pretty lethal in those conditions if he's fit. I've never been a big fan of Rahat Ali on account of his poor fielding and lack of fitness. Have to go with Shadab for me. He's earned that much, plus, he can bat enough so that even if the ball isn't turning, he can be useful.

EDIT: I think it's about time Fakhar got a chance in tests as well. Azhar Ali looks much better to me as a no. 3 batsman. Then Harris to follow. Here's my lineup

Tried to be as realistic as possible. According to different sources Faheem is the going to be the fifth seamer in a 15/16 member squad (not Mir).
IMO, Mir, Salahuddin and Saad are MUST for this tour. They are the future of Pakistan.

Happy with this squad. The thing I do not understand is the inclusion of 4 openers, only one from Imam and Sami should've been selected. Mir Hamza deserved to be here. I hope Pakistan invests in Saad and Salahuddin, and Shakeel later.

Fawad exclusion is shocking to me, specially when we have seen how the younger players crumbled even against Srilanka and that too in known conditions. Fawad is probably the unluckiest player and it will cost Pakistan.
4 openers mean that the selectors and the coaching staff are unsure about the right combination and we can expect different combinations at the top. Beside that, we are short of at-least one spinner in this squad because Shadab is pretty new to Test cricket and can get under pressure.
I am expecting a 2-0 defeat against England.
