I don't think we would get to see that until we are alive. The condition is that bad !
I sincerely hope you're wrong. Besides, I'm a bit more hopeful than you. I can say, as a history student, these things always seem less intense in retrospect and attitudes can swing somewhat quickly. Although admittedly it is a lot slower in that part of the world.

On a cricketing note, just read something about rumors that Amir wants to settle down in the U.K. I was all for his Test retirement but if he cuts and runs early on Paksitan cricket than that can only be construed as rather selfish considering what they did to have him integrate back and what that did for his reputation. I tend not to say this often but he might owe them a long career in limited overs cricket. Especially now that he's no longer playing test cricket if his form allows.

Babar Azam has been really good in the Vitality Blast so far. If he continues at this pace, the man will be up with some of the best Pakistani batsmen of all-time.

Don't forget Fakhar Zaman either. He has the potential to be one.

Mickey Arthur no longer the coach of Pakistan

After how they performed in the WC at the start of their campaign, some personnel changes were definitely on cards. I think him going on to say that Sarfaraz Ahmed should be sacked from Captaincy didn't go down well with PCB. But I don't see he said anything wrong either. Sarfaraz just doesn't look cut for it.

Mickey introduced a culture of fitness that was missing. He should've been retained. Grant and Azhar were rightly let go.

True that ! He showed a lot of promise in his early coaching career with the Pakistan Cricket Team. But his standards declined over a period of time. Some kind of over-confidence or you would say arrogance started to creep in him and that's where he have gone from good to bad, probably worse.

The team needed a change. He was playing the same 15-18 players over the past couple of years with little to no results. We lost a couple of series in UAE where we had dominated for years, and with most of our Cricket being played in UAE, we need someone who has a good for spinners as well. Mickey hasn't developed any spinner in his tenure. Zafar, Asghar are still far from the national team. He persisted with bits-and-pieces cricketers for too long (Faheem, Shadab etc).

He is certainly not a bits and pieces player. He is currently one of the best spinners going in World Cricket ATM. He is right up there with bowlers like Rashid Khan, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. And also he is as good a batsman what Bhuvi is for India. He certainly needs to be backed by the team.

Shadab averages 37.3 with the bowl against the top 5 in ODIs. And his primarily a bowler, don't bring his batting into discussion. Because in that sense, we can also say the Hassan Ali is one of the best players around (probably better than Bhuvi as a batsman, as good as Shami, Woakes etc).

Must also mention the fact that yes, Shaddy has potential but he needs to bowl a lot of overs in 4-day cricket. He is nowhere accurate or consistent as the leggies you mentioned.

If Pakistan get Misbah as coach, it will be a huge step forward for them. But, will they be patient and not create stories around him?

If they go for Latif, Mohsin and Akhtar I will laugh my balls off! It will be worse than Shastri.

Coaching staff is called game on hai? Hahahaha

For what reason Azhar Ali is there in Category B ? What has he done in last 12 months ? Has he even played a match ?

Same for Yasir, He averages 50+ against SENA. Amir is just being punished for retiring from Tests.

Pakistan's new board has the chance to show that they have truly turned a new page by hiring Mike Hesson. Misbah would be the worst choice they could make. He doesn't even have the qualifications required, so i hope it's just a typical media rumour. He shouldn't be chief selector either for the same reason.
