Yahya Hussaini has said that he'll bat at 4, Hafeez will open with Fakhar and Azhar will be dropped for Fahim. But then again, it's Yahya Hussaini, so he's probably wrong.
So Yahya Hussaini is copying me? :D
Anyways this will give us 7 genuine bowlers, so we'll have an even better chance to restrict other teams.

The Pakistani lineup is as unpredictable as their performance!! Just my two cents, I'd like to see Hafeez bat at number 6, though. I understand it might be a wee odd to see him there, but he's way too slow to bat up the order. At least if he bats down the order, he'll be batting in a pressure situation, meaning he'll have to play quick or get the fu** out.

If England can push Moeen Ali down the order then we can too. Its just that we don't have guts to do something like this.

Hafeez is more of a bowler, you can only replace him with a proper off-spinner which we don't have in this squad.
Hafeez however didn't bowl at all against India so I wouldn't say he is a bowler, isn't a wicket taking option, and he isn't exactly the most reliable or skillful batsman. He doesn't warrant a side in the team. Harris Sohail can bat, and put in a couple overs. Hafeez can't bat (unless it's zimbabwe) and has a SR of 54 in bowling. Harris Sohail can give us stability in the lineup.

I'm sure if Hafeez is gonna open against Sri Lanka. He may score some runs. He likes to score against Sri Lanka.

Why is everyone on 'Game on Hai' after Mickey Arthur's life?

And Ian Chappell is such a douche bag.. He's been insulting Roy left right centre and the host eats it all. Didn't he insult Pak a while back saying Oz need to stop calling Pak?

Honestly, I don't understand what the likes of Saad Nasim, Aamer Yamin did wrong to be dropped from the 11.

I think the reason was that they are saad nasim and aamir yamin. Do you really think they posses the international material talent? Aamir Yamin looks to me the clone of Yasir Arafat. Saad Nasim is just not good enough it seems.

I don't understand why the PCB selectors have so many young talented players out there and yet again they make such atrocious picks. Hafeez should have been droppes a while ago, and this young gun Zaman should have been playing the first match of the tournament. Selection issues hurt Pakistan cricket this way.

I agree with the premise of your point. But they were both performing at international level. I remember Aamir Yamin playing a match winning 60+* in Lahore and similar for Saad Nasim. Both were dropped immediately afterward.

Hafeez issue is much more complex due to his bowling and unless we find someone who can bowl some off-spin and is a good batsman, we are not going to drop Hafeez. Azhar Ali is probably playing his last few ODIs and the rest of the team will remain same so don't expect some revolutionary changes after the CT.

This is our standards of board and selection that we have to select worse form player over worst. :facepalm

For the next match I would love to see Shadab Khan back and Fahim Ashraf also look promising. He looks solid at backfoot with bat and bowls decent. Since Hafeez is in the team and he can bowl too. So I wouldn't drop Fahim and Hafeez and also bring Shadab IN. Since dropping Azhar would make our batting line-up short, unless we bring Haris Sohail IN. I would replace Imad with Shadab.

For Yamin, I agree but for Saad, I do not. His domestic performances are not good. Btw, wasn't that 60+ from Yamin in Harare?

Not really the point. Point was that Saad Nasim averaged 49 in ODI including a decent 77 against Bangladesh; he should have been given another of couple series before making the decision. Yamin was in a similar predicament.

Since being dropped from the side, Saad hasn't given extraordinary performances. Even in PSL, his performances were bad.
