Pakistan to refuse to play WC games in India

Abu Dhabi is the better ground now. New grounds have just opened in Dubai (@Dubai Sports City), and I hear they're great, and there is always Sharjah. UAE is very capable of hosting the world cup.

But Sharjah is more historical, don't you think and I really miss those one-day internationals they used to play there.Great atmosphere, many memorable moments and lots of unforgettable matches too.

Sharjah is undoubtedly the more historical ground, but it is an absolute mess right now.

The Sharjah Cricket Club hasn't received enough money to maintain the facility to an international quality for years now, it would cost a lot of money to restore it as an international facility.

I don't think match fixing is an issue now, but the state of the ground will prevent any international games from ever being played at Sharjah forever.

It would be nice though to see one final ODI played at Sharjah between Pakistan and India, but it does not look very likely.

26/11. Security? :laugh

Are you seriously laughing at this? Are you even human? SHUT THE flip UP DUDE.

I stayed at the Taj Lands End hotel in Mumbai just last week. The place is a fortress. Every single car that goes in the hotel is THOROUGHLY checked, there are metal detectors at every entrance, army at every corner. Undercover agents also work their as part as regular staff.

Oh, and there were about 20 pakistani tourists and some executives their as well, they were completely fine. My aunt's car driver was born in Lahore. Next please.

I don't know how you stop 15 guys from bursting inside a hotel and shooting the place up. Don't give me this ████.

I don't care where Pakistan plays their games. If they don't want to play in India, more power to them. It would be a pity though.

Yes I am laughing at your so called security Cricketman during 26/11. It was pathetic to say the least, because when your security had an EASY chance to shoot Ajmal Kasab, they refused to. I have given proof of that.

That is a farcial situation to say the least.

I'd like to ask you a couple of questions though about your story.

You say that there were regular staff members who are undercover agents. Exactly how do you know this? :laugh Either you are lying, or they're pretty bad at hiding their cover.

Secondly, how did you know they were Pakistani? Did you just invent that?

Regarding your last comment, if you read the rest of my posts in this thread, I have said security cannot stop things like this from happening. The responsibility lies in the intelligence of the country, not the security. Read some of my posts where I have explained that the intelligence of India failed on 26/11 just as the intelligence of Pakistan failed on 3/3.

It's right there in the little brochure thing they give you as you walk in. There's a tribute to the Taj Towers in some of the elevators, on how it has risen again and how much stronger the Taj's are. It talks about the agent stuff. There's no need to hide it, as guests we have the right to know. And does it really matter if the terrorists know it or not? The agents are there anyways.

I was sitting in the lobby waiting for some bollywood stars or someone to show up (I met Shahid Kapoor, Zyed Khan, and Sunil Gavaskar there btw :D). Then there's this large group of people, I presume friends and family, grouped up and chatting in the lobby. One of them sat next to me and we just talked. He's from Islamabad, works in GE and is here in India for business. He brought his family along with him, just like my dad did for our trip. Simple as that. He was very friendly, enjoyed staying in Mumbai and all that.

Why couldn't security shoot Kasab? Is this the one in the train station? It's because the guard who was about to shoot Kasab had a faulty gun. The weapons hadn't probably ever been fired and simply didn't work. That was a pretty big part of the whole Mumbai incident.

Intelligence can only do so much. You can't monitor everything that moves.

Cricketman added 3 Minutes and 38 Seconds later...

BTW, took a trip to downtown Mumbai and saw the Oberoi and The Taj. The spirit of the people is simply unbelievable. The day the hotels were back, they were fully booked. This has shown that India and the world have not let the terrorists win. We remain standing.

The Taj Towers have really shaped things up and things are back to the 100% quality they deliver. They have, though left a small portion of the hotel still the way it was on 26/11, either as tribute or maybe they haven't worked on it yet. Either way, it is an extremely sad sight, smashed windows and bullet holes in the walls of the building. I was heartbroken.

Hilary Clinton stayed in that hotel during her stay. Props to her!

Actually that makes me think, if PCB can sue the ICC for taking away their games, can the ICC not counter sue PCB because they're violating the contract by refusing to play in India?

Cricketman, there were multiple policemen / guards. About 15, I believe. Are you telling me they all had faulty guns?

Intelligence can only do so much, but intelligence is your only chance. Security is just "there". Read more of my posts in this thread for my explanation on this.

You're taking this nowhere zMario, some of your points are senseless. Taking Kasab alive was FAR more beneficial than having him dead. It exposed the people behind it, and most importantly, it exposed the long hidden truth that Pakistan was becoming a breeding ground for terrorists.

Intelligence IS working though, they've caught so many terrorists inside the borders with TONS of ammunition, probably for another Mumbai attack. They've done a lot after the incident.
