Pakistan tour of Australia and New Zealand 2023/24

Babar Azam is averaging less than Raymon Reifer in 2023.
Apparently he is someone who is not very open to feedback. Even if he was, i doubt there's someone competent enough around the team to give him the right advice. He's clearly not 100%, he's a much better Test player than this, unlike what some reactionary takes may assert.

He looked hopeless and preoccupied with getting bowled in the second innings at the start of his innings (although he did get runs when I fell asleep). Think it was Mark Waugh pointing out how poor his footwork looked, not getting close to the line of the ball.

Pace is pace. Rauf would've been my pick and seemingly was who Pakistan wanted too.

As well as Mir and Hasan bowled I think the Aussies would rather face them than Ihsanullah and Hasnain who could bowl 90ish. They really struggled against Mark Wood in both of the last Ashes series. I'd certainly say there's room for one wild card pacer in the side.
Rauf in Australia would have ended up in injury. He couldn't even complete the one Test he did play, and hasn't played an FC match since then. It's like wanting to pick Fakhar Zaman to replace Imam.

Yeah, not moving his feet like he usually does, and hanging his bat out, leaving a massive gap, through which he was bowled in both innings.

Yeah I’m surprised @wasteyouryouth wanted him in. Maybe this virus is truly contagious.

He needs support from someone like Viv Richards, Sachin, Sanga, Cook, Misbah, etc. Someone who themselves have gone through dip in form, struggles. He just needs one good talk with them. He has to leave his ego (which I do not think is the case). I feel he is more closed up due to all the issues with captaincy, the political scenario in PCB. He is overthinking a lot of those aspects.

He is a great batter and now needs to overcome mental toughness.

Pakistan should have won this. Their best chance for a win against Aus. So frustrated they threw it away. Cummins had to come good.

That’s three victories that the Aussies have stolen from the rightful victors this year.

England - Moral victory
India - Paper victory
Pakistan - Better team victory

When will the cheating Aussies stop?

I never understand half the unnecessary stuff that Hafeez is coming out with. It's a bit like a sore loser - and if anything it demotes the quality of work that Pakistan put in.

He seems to do anything but put any effort into finding areas we struggled with and building on them.

It reminds me of back when I was in school and would fail one of the science tests and my parents would ask me why, it was always someone who was distracting me during the test or I revised something else or it didn't matter. It was never an actual case of me not doing any prep.
