This series will also see two new coaches going head to head. Any news of who the new Pakistan coach would be ?

Interim Coach is Mohsin Khan. No words yet regarding the permanent coach but I would hate to see Aaqib being given the job. Our batting is what needs to be sharpened up.

Yep a batting coach would be better. A permanent appointment not someone done on a series-by-series basis.

Dean Jones seems to me a very sincere guy, he can hopefully bring some good results for Pakistan. As far Mohsin Interim coach for this series, there is a possibility that some rift will take place on the selection matters during the series. It isnt a wise decision to have him as interim coach imo

well with dean jones two things comes in my mind

1. he called amla as terrorist during commentary.
2. When India lost to South Africa IN WC, in NDTV channel he was saying India has no chance of winning WC with weak bowling attack. When India won the world cup he was quiet in that NDTV sports show.

He was awesome batsman, but to be a good coach you need to be calm and have control over tongue.

Malinga will I guess play ODI's and frankly on those dry, dusted and batting friendly pitches it will be quite difficult to rip through a batting line-up.
Mendis is probably out becuase Pakistani batsmen picked him best so far so I guess slectors didn't select him becuase they see no venom in him against Pakistan.

I got to say that Pakistani Batting is Excellent,
No Murali will be a let down,
But Watch Out for Shaminda Eranga,
He is a Man in form.

TEST series will be very tough, the Lankans have a pretty strong batting lineup and in bowling they have Herath. He is all they need. I think a drawn series would be a job well done for us.

I think Pakistan will win the Test series.
But I cannot Say for sure because Shaminda Eranga,

TBH, It does come as a big surprise that we won the WC with that attack.

Malinga has retired from Test cricket. Doubt if he can be that lethal in ODI's. Also, SRL's Test performances of late have not been good, they really need to spruce up their performance.

Those UAE grounds can be quite rough and abrasive, perhaps thanks to all the desert around. You don't expect to see too many early wickets, but a reverse swinger can get something happening and it's a good opportunity for the spinners to bowl ten overs for 30.
