Based on the WC in WI thread, who do you think will excel in these tours?

With the cricsim teams threads segregated and other vastly pointless threads out of comission, I was encouraged to make a comeback. I am reviving the Pakistan's International Season thread, but not sure what changes I will be making. I'm gonna start off by finishing the third test between Pakistan and England which shall decide the outcome of this series. To refresh your memory, Pakistan won the first test by three wickets, and then lost the second one by 67 runs. Updates coming tonight.

England in with a chance

The Pakistani plan to play till tea didn't really pan out as well as they had hoped as the remainder of the team was bowled out in the next 6 overs. Vaughan decided to take the new ball straight away after lunch and his bowlers made good use of it. Pakistani tail enders couldn't really hold the fort after Youhana got out to Anderson. Their careless batting made Collingwood look like McGrath. Pakistan were all out at the score of 302 runs with just a few overs in the second session of the day. England need just that many runs to win the test match and the series. So at this point, I'd say match evenly poised.

England throw away early wickets

Chasing 302, England got off to a relatively decent start. Both openers kept the ball on the ground and didn't give the bowlers any chances. After six overs of just pushing the ball away, Trescothick dispatched some loose deliveries from Sami for four and scored 12 runs off of one over. Inzamam kept his faith in Sami and gave him more overs anyway, and justifiably so, since Sami created many chances off of Tresco but all were either put down or just didn't carry.

But Pakistan got their first break through not because of Sami and Akhtar's swinging deliveries but due to Strauss' carelessness as he was runout straight away after getting off the mark while going for a risky second run.

More trouble for England was to follow as Amir struck in his very first over taking out the new man in, Ian Bell, who edged an out swinger to third slip in an attempt to drive one through the covers. But Pakistan served England with the biggest blow just before lunch when Trescothick lodged one down short square leg's throat and was caught easily, leaving England 56/3 at tea.

England lose Vaughan

Twas a very boring last session of the fourth day as both Vaughan and Flintoff defended damn near anything and everything that came their way. The introduction of spin from both sides slowed England even further. Naturally, at this point the England captain was more worried about saving wickets than scoring runs. Surprisingly enough, Flintoff didn't hit the ball much at all, intead let Vaughan do all the hitting. But just as they were getting close to the end of day, the captain edged one off of Afridi to point who took a tough catch to dismiss Vaughan. At the end of the day, England were 108/4.

Summary

England 108/4 (50 overs) - Stumps (Day 4)
A. Flintoff 14*(82) | P. Collingwood 5*(29)
England require 194 runs to win with 6 wickets in hand

England suffered a huge blow as Flintoff was caught out in the slips early in the morning. Amir was the one who landed this punch on England. At the moment, Collingwood and the keeper GO Jones are batting and trying to get England the runs they need to win the match and the series. England require 187 more runs with 5 wickets in hand!

Just 29 runs after losing Flintoff, England suffer yet another loss as Collingwood is bowled out by Shoaib Akhtar. England need 162 runs now with just 4 wickets in hand. Looks like a Pakistan win from here on.

Fantastic last day in prospect, though Pakistan seem to have the clear advantage after Freddie's dismissal.
Yes that was a huge blow for England, but this is test cricket, anything can happen before the last wicket falls.

I can understand that its frustating to have scored just 1 boundary in 80 balls, but considering the match situation, I think that shot from Collingwood (as seen in his dismissal screenshot) its totally unacceptable.

Only a matter of time now. Its gonna be tough to even bat out for a draw now.

And that's Lunch.

An eventful first session of the last day. England lost two early wickets to the Pakistani pacers, but they seem to have found in Geriant Jones the right man for the job. The keeper has been very careful yet aggressive in picking up singles and has put away two of Akhtar's superb deliveries for a six and a four! He's batting at 38* at the moment and will most face the new ball just a few overs after lunch. Let's see how he fares against a swinging ball.

England require 128 runs to win with just 4 wickets in hand!
