PC Games

Never been a comic book/superhero fan, but I played through Arkham Asylum the other day. Gets a bit repetitive, not a bad game though. The 95% rating is obviously because game reviewers are massive Batman nerds.

Moved onto Arkham City now and it's resolved some of my frustrations with the former. Probably have to come back to it later though, otherwise it will start to feel repetitive too after having just played through Asylum.

The Deus Ex games are on sale through Steam atm too if you wanted to jump on those Varun. Not sure how long Train Simulator has left on it's sale, so you guys better jump on that one too.

Yeah, buying them. Steam's collection seems pretty cool. Arkham Asylum, Portal, Half life, Civilization, and a plethora of other games to try out.

Arkham Asylum is one of my favourite game. (Yet to play Arkham City due to dead graphic card). You get everything and can actually feel to be batman. The only problem was that it forced users to play in detective mode but they resolved it in Arkham City.

I didn't even realise there was a third Deus Ex game. I was tempted to buy it for $8, but since I could never get into the original I resisted the urge. I picked up Half Life 2, but haven't given it much of a go. Maybe I've just lost interest in FPS these days.

You'll definitely love Arkham City when you get a chance to play. I was getting sick of climbing through vents constantly and even the gargoyle rooms started to get boring in Asylum.

City definitely captures the feel of Batman a lot better, quite fun running and jumping/gliding/grappling from roof top to roof top and picking a random gang to drop down and beat the crap out of.

On the other hand, I don't have much experience with FPS. Have played some games, but never seriously - and Counter Strike being the only prominent game I can remember. Probably the only genre I've hardly played at all.

Don't forget that the remake/re-imagining of one of the greatest PC games of all time, Xcom Enemy Unknown, is coming out around October 12th! :)

If people want to get involved with the Half Life saga, then download the free, fan made Black Mesa Source Mod that has recreated the first game with updated graphics. It has taken them 8 years, and is well worth a look.

Not sure on their intentions regarding finishing it. I imagine they'll be hoping for some kind of contracts from Valve now :p

I think they do plan on finishing it, just they felt they may as well release what they've done so far

In that case, I might wait until they're done completely - hopefully that won't take another four years...

I m going to buy Call of Duty - Black Ops 2 for Multiplayer. :D

Xcom Enemy Unknown demo is live on Steam, lads! If you get any weird errors, restart Steam and try again. :)

Also, there's a counter on Steam that's at around 48% now - if that gets to 100%, anyone else preordering the game will get a free copy of Civ 5! :D
