Sorry much but the game was lagging,i have connected up my modem now if you want to try again

The lag was from the very start of the game not when you were 8~9 down. :

Coolpants is another lame quitter he got me out for 35 in a 5 over and i had him needing 12 of last ball then he quit lol.

yes
i think then in the original version online play would not work
it will say install the patch to continue playing online

So whats the patch like then does it make the game harder.

the patch is awesome
batsman and bowlers both are even
the best thing is that medium fast bowlers are very effective
spinners are easy to hit but not as easy as it was in the original version
lag problems are solved
match completed rating implementation worked quite well
quitting rate has been decreased.
so there are many positives
