Welcome to the PCPL Headquarters. Today is a very special day - it's the day the PCPL announces which international players are joining us for the competition! The bidding shall start at 08:00AM, Monday 9th February.
We've had many a night speaking with agents, clubs and in the end, the actual players trying to secure the best signatures for this competition. We feel that we have an great list!
It's my understanding that some on the international stage of world cricket disagree with the PCPL, and this has forced us to limit our search somewhat, as certain players refused to even speak to us. Others wanted far too much money, and only with Zorax's help would we be able to afford them! So I'll quit talking and present to you the international tiers:
Total spent:
Tier 1: 62.9m*
Tier 2: 17.26m*
Tier 3:
Tier 4:
CC: 25.4m* DD: 37.5m MD: 0m* TT: 6.6m*
VV: 4m* SS: 3.35m* HH: 3.31m* BB: 0m*
* = in progress
As always, there are rules to everything and ours are relatively simple!
1. Auctions will be a little different this year in PCPL2. We will auction off, like last year, by tiers. But, unlike last year, we could, in essence, have every player up for sale at the same time! This is how the auction will work;
Day 1 - All Tier 1 batsmen will be up for sale.
Day 2 - All Tier 1 bowlers will be up for sale.
Day 3 - All Tier 1 wicketkeepers and allrounders will be up for sale.
Day 4 - All Tier 2 batsmen will be up for sale.
Day 5 - All Tier 2 bowlers will be up for sale.
etc
This will continue until all the players are available. This way will be much easier and will, we believe, benefit teams more.
2. If no bid is made within 24hrs then the auction will close. There will be reserve prices on all players, the value depending on their tier. The reserve prices will be as follows:
Tier One players will have a reserve price of 150k.
Tier Two players will have a reserve price of 100k.
Tier Three players will have a reserve price of 75k.
Tier Four players will have a reserve price of 50k.
3. To increase the bid, new bids must be 1,000 vCash more than the previous bid. This will help bidding move along at a good pace, and should avoid complaints from owners about the bidding process.
4. This year we're going to try to help out owners out by ensuring that if you win an auction, you will have full rights to that international player's signature. So, say you win 6 auctions at the same time, you will be given the right to choose which players you want. For the rejected players the auction will be re-opened and the 2nd highest bidder will become the lead bidder overall. There will then be another 24 hours to improve on the bid.
For interest, we've had a very kind soul compile some information on PCPL 1, and how much money was exchanged, here is PCPL 1 information.
