Because Mishra can actually turn the bowl and tries to get wickets. As a bowler, failing in IPL hardly amounts to anything, because its T20.

Spin bowling is not all about how much a ball turns, each ball you bowl needs a variation and brain and Mishra lacked that in the England series couple of years back, and he is way too predictable in longer formats.

That was a couple of years back wasn't it ?

He was quite brilliant recently in the Asia Cup. Bowled with a lot of control and attacked throughout. And in overseas tours, turning the ball does matter. Especially in tests

Also not to mention his good FC record and the problem with him is once he is going for runs he becomes flat, but he is real good when he is on top and unplayable, he has decent deception, drift and loop in his bowling something lot of others dont have.

Mishra is an amazing bowler but always struggles when he is under pressure. When someone decides to take him on and gets couple of shots, he tend to bowl much faster than what he normally does. That is exactly what the batsmen wants and he gets smashed for even more runs. It happened with him in WT20 semi final against Duminy and Faf. Same thing happened when Pollard took him on when they played Mumbai Indians.

So from cricinfo, it looks like Ashwin continues to bowl on the leg stump line. Might be effective in T20s. But I hope he will change his ways in ODIs and Tests, otherwise it will be back to the recent Ashwin who only tries to stop runs and doesn't look for wickets.

I support MI and their record vs CSK is 9-4 so obviously thats not the reason..
that may be but the thing that CSK beats MI in knockout and crucial games except for the one time we let you guys win it for sachin, must irk a little bit....and then now DR.smith n hussey swap:p

ok do tell the reason why you think so or your just having some intuition:D
