Rules

The Planet Cricket players have long been playing with certain rules to create a balanced experience in game play. One of the most important of these rules being the prohibition of the shorter than 6 meter deliveries with spinners and the slow ball bouncers with medium pacers. This rule was created early on before any patches in which such deliveries would often bounce twice or even more on the way to the batsman. The patches have since done away with some of this, however Planet Cricket league organisers have still abided by this rule due to the unrealistic difficulty of playing these deliveries which should by their very nature (short long hops) be among the easiest to play.

For this league however no such rules shall be in place. Only rules that are in accordance of official International Cricket laws will be abided by.

1) Any delivery that bounces more than twice will be deemed a no ball. Deliveries that bounce twice will be allowed and deliveries under 6m by spin and medium pacers also will be allowed.

2) An agreement should be reached between the two players playing each other on the action to be taken on bug/glitch dismissals. It is strongly advised that the bowling side allow for a quit and save option for the 'played shot converted to bowled' dismissal and for the batting side to offer up his wicket if he was bowled and it was not registered as a dismissal. This is not compulsory but will be playing within the spirit of the game.

3) If the non striker is on the same side as the bowler, the bowler should fix this by changing to around/over the wicket and then back again until the problem is fixed.

4) Attributes editing will be allowed.

5) Skills editing will be allowed, however one should keep skills of players to match the players realistic ability as much as possible. There is no sure way of being able to insure that player skilled are not exploited but the the following rule will mean that both sides are evenly matched.

The total number of stars in a playing XI cannot exceed 17, and the number of stars of each category cannot exceed 4 stars. The categories are as follows:

1. Top Order
2. Middle Order
3. Lower Order
4. Spin
5. Pace

These are shown before the start of any match, and should be reviewed by both players when matching up. If the player you are playing has more than 17 stars combined the match should not begin until this is rectified.

6) Each player is to play every player from the opposite group. So each player will play a total of 7 games. (Grand total of 49 games for the league)

7) The group which achieves the higher number of wins in total will be regarded as the winners of the T20 format.
