Knock of the tiny target in 12.4 overs as the PC XI send out warning signals

This young team would be filled with confidence as they send out the message that they are a side to be reckoned with

Harsha:Hello, and welcome back to Stumped, Sky Sports new end of innings show where I and a couple of experts meet to discuss the match. Now, Mr.Arnold, pleased with this effort?
H.Arnold:Yes, absolutely. We always knew that we could do it, and after that fabulous bowling display, the least that I can say is that it was always in the bag. Nik and Sarvesh found some good form with the bat and went aggresive and that is good news to us. They were unfortunate to have fallen so close to scoring the winning runs, played a few poor shots, but that is no problem. Overall I believe it was a great performace, and I think this will fill the boys with confidence as we head out to the World Cup.
Harsha:And your thoughts Ravi?
Ravi: No doubt, wonderful stuff from the Planet Cricket XI, but you can't help feeling that Border had a very lacklustered perfomance today. 84 as always going to be a difficult target to defend, but Planet Cricket chased it down at 7 runs per over. Something has to be said about their poor bowling.
Tony Cozier:Yea, I agree with Ravi there, this was a pitch where it was easy on the drive. You had to pitch the ball short of a length to trouble the batsmen. They couldn't afford to pitch the ball up. It did swing, but was smashed to all corners of the park by Guntupalli and Mali. Poor stuff.
Harsha:We noticed Boucher also let a few byes slip through his gloves...was it pressure or...
Navjot:Well firstly I'd advice him to get rid of the sunglasses. The sun was shining in his eyes, but he is supposed to be a professional. He can't let this get to him.
Tony Cozier:In his defence they did bowl quite poorly, either too straight or too wide. None the less, Planet Cricket just outplayed them today. They were on their game, and if they can continue with this form, we could be in for a few upsets in the World Cup.
Harsha:Well, you heard it here. Border performed poorly, PlanetCricket were on top of their game, and Boucher needs to lose the sunglasses. Let us check the stats for today:

Harsha:As you can see, the Planet Cricket made real short work of the target set by Border. Now, lets take a look at the Samsug Shot of the Innings which is this stunning coverdrive by Nikhit Guntupalli:

Beautiful. Let us now view the Highlights of the innings:

Highlights

Superb innings from Guntupalli...although it wasn't without its reprives:

Alas...all good things come to an end...out for a quickfire 35:

Mali rubs salt into the wounds.

Thats a mammoth hit as the match draws to an end...sadly this yorker gets rid of Sarvesh before he can score the winning runs:

Zohaib Ahmed finds the gap to tie the scores...

Thats it-victory for Planet Cricket as Zohaib scores the winning run!

Harsha:Thats it for today. We hope you enjoyed watching the match with us here at Sky Sports. Join us agian within a week as the Twenty20 World Cup commences. This is Harsha Bhogle wishing you all a good evening.

Yep. From the World Cup-which are official ODIs-I'll be having the M-O-M.

Let me just wrn you all-lineups are very definately going to be different-so that everyone gets a game. Also I'll be trying to balance the squad. In this match everyone but the keeper was a decent bowler! Therefore many of you who are allrounders will not get a bowl, sorry for that. Many of you also will get fewer games, etc. due to the balancing of the squad. Hope you all don't mind.

I'm off now to play the BLIC demo. See ya:cool: . Will be back with a short update on the tour.

man i was bowled on 25 i will have to concentrate more now............... LOL

Excellent performance by Planetcricket XI :cheers

The ICC board have announced the fixtures for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup, which will start on Feburary ninth with the opening encounter between the two Group B teams England and New Zealand.

Group A consists of Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Netherlands and Namibia.

Group B consists of England, New Zealand, South Africa, India, West Indies, Bangladesh and the Planet Cricket XI

The subcontinent will be hosting World Cup, with the matches being shared amongst the grounds of India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The final match is planned to take place in the newly re-constructed Galle stadium in Sri Lanka-which was destroyed when a tsunami hit Sri lanka late 2004-although this is subject to change. Sky Sports will be the official sponsor, and will be broadcasting all the matches.
