Pitch Report
With Ravi Shastri
'A fine pitch where the ball will swing but will race away when middled'
Ravi:Well welcome to the first warm up match between the Planet Cricket XI-a newly formed international team who boast the talent to challenge the best-and Border, here at Banglore.
As you can see, this is a fine cricketing pitch, where the ball will swing but will race away when middled. A batting or bowling pitch this, it offers no particular favours to batsmen, seamers, medium pacers and spinners. You have to put your all to get great results. A score of 275+ is defendable but a formidabe target would be in the regions of 290-320. This should be a great match. Thank you very much. This is Ravi Shastri from Sky Sports.
Harsha:Thank you very much Ravi. Now lets head off for the toss with Rameez Raja. To you Rameez.
Toss
'Bowling first may seem odd, but with our bowling attack, we feel it is the right decision'
Rameez:Thank you Harsha. Good morning to all our viewers. We are here in the middle with our two captains-Nitesh Hemlani and Mark Boucher. Hemlani will call. He calls heads, and heads it is! What will you choose Nitesh?
Nitesh:Well we will chose to field first. Bowling first may seem odd, but with our bowling attack, we feel it is the right decision.
Rameez:Thank you Nitesh. Now Boucher-dissapointed with losing the toss?
Boucher:No not really. We feel it is a good toss to lose. We would have had a bat anyways. So not regrets really.
Rameez:Thank you very much. Now you heard it here. Planet Cricket have elected to bowl first here at Banglore. We will be back with the first ball of this match in about 20 minutes, so stay tuned!
