In that case you lose your role as an allrounder, and if I recall correctly, Yorkshire were planning to drop you down the order :p...
Yes well i dont think we should leave all rounders to come in down the order, maybe in the longer version of the game, but not in One Day games were the emphesis is on attack and scoring runs, and plus all rounders are not just sloggers! they can play defensive too you know!

i think ive shown the talent to bat at number 3 and build a game winning partnership if i convert 30s and 40s into hundreds i will be happy to be a defensive, partnership building number 3

Im willing to be the aggressive opening batsmen wicket keeper! Not in the style of Adam Gilchrist, better....

Thats what we are trying to avoid, but they don't have to slog, they can run quick ones and twos, and can solidify the middle order incase of a collapse, but they still have to be aggressive!

In tests we will require only one allrounder, as four bowlers will do. Probably this allrounder will also be playing in ODIs, and can bowl 6-7 overs with the second bowling the remaining. It gives balance, batting and bowling depth and flexibility.

Will consider. You did do pretty good.

Alrighty then. Maybe you could be an opener in tests as well.

Look at my Yorkshire record batting at 4 if you want to consider me for test matches! (my bowling is good too!)

Thats the problem. You have to comprimise. Either bat more and bowl about 5 overs a day, or bat around 5-6 and bowl about 10-15, or bat at seven and bowl a lot. We can't have a team filled with super allrounders in the game.

Well seeing as how I enjoy batting more, I would be willing to sacrifice my bowling and only bowl a few overs, but I would always be there as a bowling option when things are getting tough.

I was going to suggest that although im not as aggressive in Test cricket, more of a Matty Hayden, plays his shots but looks to build an innings.

Well i am availabel as a pure batsman for PCR at no. 3 or 4. If i m not too defensive than i m not too much aggressive also. Rest all is on the selection committee, what ever they decide i am with them.

i can bat at number 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5 ,or 6. i am a quick run scorer. in one dayers, u could bowl me anywhere from 6-10 overs. In my game, i play for india. I play number three, open sometimes, and i am the 1st or 2nd change bowler.
i am an useful bowler in the slog, also. :D

I consider myself a bowling allrounder (took two wickets against World XI) who is quite a useful batsman (can come at no.5 or 6 and pick up quick singles and 2s and hit the odd boundary like Mohd Kaif). For my club, I am a top order batsmen and opening bowler.
