The funniest thing is that you expect that everyone is as jingoistic as you and a blind nationalist, when you don’t even know their views. Well, doesn’t matter, it’s like talking to a wall, can’t fix a superiority complex and colonial mentality.

I am not a blind nationalist or jingoistic. You came to this thread talking about things about a different country. Probably shows inferiority complex or FOMO? I have been vocal about things that are right or wrong in my country, I dont need anyone else to judge my nationalism and jingoism. I spitted out facts agreeing with you that yes we should stop making movies and stealing songs from wonderful artists in Pakistan, just like other things, we need to stop the "IMPORTANT ENEMY" stature we give Pakistan. Oh just like not replying directly to you as its the same thing perhaps talking to a wall.

Forgot to quote you in previous post, apologies.
Yeah, i saw that Hrithik movie trailer and found it hilarious, especially considering what happened in 2019, so i thought i should post it in a relevant thread how India despite progressing so much and even landing on the moon is still obsessed with a bankrupt country, both in their movie and music industry and election campaigns.
All you had in response was a snarky reply ("Pakistani artists need 2 minutes of fame", despite the fact that they're not asking to be copied, it's Indian artists who want to copy/remake), which is kinda the same as Bollywood making snarky movies or how colonialists used to look down on everyone, which is sad to see because i've known you to be a better person.

And that is exactly my point as well. It is pointless to keep making same type of movies again and again. We need better villains (India needs to stop with Pakistan), Pakistan needs to stop with India. Go make movies on China from Indian perspective, go make a villain out of Afghanistan or Iran for Pakistan.

My response may be snarky regarding 2 minutes fame, but my intention was the same that stop already with repetitive movies. But you and I and many know that nationalism sells. You will always see Pakistan being the villain in Indian movies, same on the other fence of the border, same with USA and Russia or USA and Korea, etc etc.

JDS in Bihar is a real joke. The number of times Nitish Kumar has been through the BJP washing machine is unimaginable.

And yet again he takes oath as the CM. High time India brings in term limits on its leaders. People like Nitish and the fellow in Odisha,Naveen have been in power since 25-30 years. It is unhealthy.

With JDS, it is a proven fact that Nitish expect himself to be named as the PM candidate,in case the coalition needs a kingmaker. He is a wily old fox siding with the highest grosser, always.

People from Bihar simply don't get this and keep voting for such filth over and over again. God help them!

More and more people shifting from Congress to BJP.

Ex-Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan has joined the saffron ranks. Navjot Sidhu is planning on doing so on the 22nd. And if sources are to be believed, Kamal Nath might join too.

Genuine question. Despite being from a country that is doing a lot better than Pakistan right now, why do Indian politicians and media bring up Pakistan so much, especially in election years? India is barely mentioned in election campaigns in Pakistan

To quote Adam Curtis, from his series The Power of Nightmares (which I've watched several times): In an age when all the grand ideas have lost credibility, fear of a phantom enemy is all the politicians have left to maintain their power.

My own hypothesis is that it’s a lot easier to compare yourself to a country that’s worse off at the moment to say “hey look, your lives are marvellous and all of that is down to us so vote for us please?” than it is to compare yourself to another Asian country that’s doing better because that may show how progress has been stunted.

Yeah, makes sense.
Although comparing yourself to a hybrid regime like Pakistan where the military chooses the government is definitely a cop-out.

1. Past government of Congress was incapable of curbing border attacks
2. BJP did so to an extent and that gave them the upper hand when it came to bargaining
3. Mentioning their acts/curbs vs Pak gives them more votes
4. It isn't only Pakistan, BJP tends to use Sri Lanka as well, although sparingly-this has become an issue in some Southern states.

That's the ideology, based on which the BJP came to power. The very fact that they wanted to highlight India as a Hindu nation shows in every engagement they have with the people.

I don't sense them backing down from this. And see, the majority of the votes come from the states of MP, UP where a vast majority of old school people still live on. Thereby the heavy onus on speaking Hindi, banning beef, non consumption of non veg and alcohol on festival days, etc.I'd say appearing them has been a good strategy and it has worked.

As an outsider who does not vote unfortunately, two wrongs do not make it right. BJP should let Congress sink on its own which it is doing fine. No need for inciting speeches and manifestos from old days. If in Congress manifesto there is written they will distribute things to Muslims first, let them. If it is not written and was just a inciting speech crack whip the BJP. I am not sure what is true and what is not unfortunately now a days.

I wish Congress do focus on 2029 as Modi wont be around and wont be allowed until unless he changes the rules like Putin or Xin did for China to re-contest due to age limitation. We need a solid strong opposition. Mamta's, Rahul's, Yadav's wont work. They need as shrewd and cunning as Modi to contest election in 2029. I am saying 2029 as since the elections are on, I do not know if it is feasible now irrespective of the results.

BJP has been able to do what it wants is because they have two cunning, shrewd and think tankers in Modi and Shah. With I.N.D.I.A alliance I do not see 1 single person who is leading. When you have bunch of leaders at the same position, you practically have no leaders.

For India's sake, they need a strong opposition. Dhruv Rathee's and Zubairs wont do the trick because for every Dhruv and Zubair, there are millions of BJP IT gang who will spread nonsense like them.

I pray for an India that is inclusive, I pray for an India that outgrows all countries, I pray for India that is educated.
