HI ross i got a question in regards to player stats

currently we have first class , list a, 2020,other

will that be the final product or you change it to: first class, test, list a,odi ,2020 and t20

just wondering then i hate to edit it for hundereds of players and then get updated and do it all over again!

Ross player stats will be better if it follows the cricinfo player stats..
i.e.
Tests
ODIs
T20Is
First-class
List A
Twenty20

I'll see what the team thinks. The text is data driven from tables so we can update the fields - I will see if it should be done and then work out if it can be.

No one has requested this so far but I feel a stat reset option could be a useful addition.

Having a ranking system in the game would be great.

Curious where the game will be available digitally on PC, I would like it on Steam but that seems a bit far-fetched if it has to go through the awful Greenlight process.

Rugby Challenge made it onto Steam, is that because Tru Blu was the publisher? Really hope GFWL is nowhere to be seen.

Greenlight isn't the only way games get on Steam, a larger developer like Big Ant should be able to go directly on there. If Mindstorm Studios got Cricket Revolution on Steam, Big Ant can certainly make it.

Yes, but that was before greenlight, wasn't it? Seeing some games not make it on and have to go through greenlight makes me wonder. WRC3 from milestone for instance, never got through, they also make MotoGP and have done for years but can't get on Steam. Both are fully licensed games and still can't make it! hmm.

Assetto Corsa iand Perfect golf are others I've voted for that's yet to be greenlit. Steam really lacks good racing/sports games.

So it was not going to track ODIs and Test separately?'

SERIOUSLY ?

Based on the current Cricket Academy it is set up to group matches by length not the class of cricket. Considering how far reaching the player editing is, how would the game decide which matches are 'test' or just 'first class'? Is your created team that's called 'Australia' a test team - or is it just a regular team.

Yeah, which is a good point because in previous titles, you've had stats tracked as "ODI" ...but that included 10 over versions, 20 over versions and so on. There's not much consistency in that. Would make more sense to track by Format/Overs, and then again just for the 20/20 specific format. That way, when you play say a 10 over "quick" match - it only brings up the relevant stats for that over-setting.

This is much more relevant, in my eyes.

Then, how about an option before we start a limited over match of 50overs per side, that allows us to switch between List A/ODI so the game would track stats accordingly? So that way, the game need not decide it on its own, but we can tell it how the tracking must be done. Now, if this hasn't been considered for this version, perhaps it can be added in a later patch or in the next release.
Tracking stats separately for international games gives it an authentic look, even though it hardly changes the way we play the game.
