The more I play and get used to the controls (especially manual), the more the game is beginning to produce some great attacks and moves. Although Keane ended his goal draught tonight in reality, he just made a complete mess of the finish in probably the most clinical move i've ever done on a football game.
Problem was, it was a complete accident. I broke from a corner, 2-1 down with 10 mins left, so really I had about a minute. The ball fell too Torres, and the overlap was provided by Pennant, who I played a quick one to with, and he kept on running at full pelt, taking the left back with him. Torres then faked the pass, brushed past Ferdinand, and I then tried a shimmy, forgetting that the Right Stick is now manual pass. The ball flew across the surface, perfectly weighted through the legs of an unsuspecting backtracker, straight into the path of Pennant. His face looked as suprised as I was, and he reached the byline, hooked the ball back with manual cross, straight to the onrushing Robbie Keane. He must have been preparing his crappy celebration before he even hit the ball, as he caught it beautifully but crashed it against the bar, to the obvious anguish of Pennant, who sank to his knees.
It felt better than it sounds though, the luck of the pass, the speed, the dummy, the inch perfect cross. Everything just felt so right, and I'm afraid thats something I have yet to experience with FIFA. Still, comparing them is daft, they are so radically different.
