Haha, well I've decided in my nights sleep this won't be a standard setup game. It will have some different roles in, some we've seen lately, some we haven't. They will all come from the epic mafia role page and the write ups will give big clues as to what the roles in the game are, just not necessarily who they are or what they've been up to. Expect beginning of background story and role PM's this evening

Role received. The writeup was a nice read.

In a 9-player game, I expect 6 Townies, 2 mafias and 1 individual, probably cult leader/SK/Survivor. 3 mafias, although possible, is not very likely IMO.

I'm hesitant to analyse the write-up or take much from it since PD said there'd be red herrings. The parts that stood out to me though were "corrupt town" and "the law are not to be trusted", which suggests to me that our cop might be paranoid/insane/whatever.

Seconded. That's the only part in the write up that got my attention. You can perhaps be right about the cop part. If I am to relate the word "corrupt" to a town role, it is most likely going to be cop paranoid/insane/nave but not to mention, we cannot eliminate the possibility of a corrupt doc.

A doc can be of 3 types, normal doc/naive/insane. We all know what a normal doc is capable of but as far as the other two are concerned, the naive doc is similar to a normal doc but he has no actual powers of protection and he is not told so by the mod and that can be called corrupt as the player is not aware that he has not actual powers of protection. A insane doc, has ability to protect someone but only 50% and the rest 50% are the chances of him killing his target instead.

Rather than a corrupt doc/cop who gets false results, we may have someone who switches to mafia after the trigger of a certain event, such as death of a certain player, or mafia GF, or something like that. I guess we need to be careful about that, and need not to mark anyone totally confirmed at any point of the game.

Yeah, I was thinking of the possibility that there's a sole mafia recruiter or something, since the write-up kept the perspective of one person wanting to seize power as mafia.

As for the third party, the only possible clues I'm getting are from the lines "look at that fool" (epicmafia has a role called Fool, but I think PD would disguise it better if it was being used) or the "corrupt town" could also refer to a Politician.
