In the last game, we had many such roles which we don't usually have in a 7/9 player game.

For some reason, I find Bevab's claim hard to believe. Even though, I'm not extremely sure of his claim he might be telling the truth because in a 9 player game, there are chances of a miller.

Miller is his only option for a claim because he knows that if he survives the lynch the cop will investigate him.

You really have not even given me time to post a defence. I doubt whether a good player would be given the time you have given me, if you call it time.

Randomly lynching a person, maybe. Still not putting off your lynch on that person, yes. That does make you look suspicious. You didn't post your thoughts on the write up, you basically restated about the 'sane thing that I posted just a page before. You didn't point out things, you pointed out something that made you look highly suspicious.

Earlier, you didn't had enough time to defend yourself but you just came online but didn't provide a solid defense this time either and the way you have role claimed, doesn't make you look any less suspicious. TBH, it seems you don't really care if you're lynched or else you would at least know why there are 4 votes on you.

There are my thoughts on his defense. Looking at the post again, it makes me more suspicious of him but I'm still not sure of him. Bevab saying that he hasn't got enough time to defend himself doesn't make any sense anymore. He just had a chance to defend himself but he hasn't provided a good defense forward. Earlier I didn't lynch him just because I wanted a better defense from him but now as he has provided his defense and it doesn't really make me any less suspicious of him. I'd fos him for now but if the rest of you feel the same about him, I don't mind hammering him.

@Barmyarmy - Yea and that's what is confusing for me. It would be perfect for a mafia in this situation to claim miller (safer choice) or vanilla (not a safe choice) but then again, taking the last few games into consideration, possibility of a miller in this game are there.

Indeed but the time to claim miller is before you are one vote from the hammer not when you are or after you've been investigated. If you claim it under no pressure you are taking a risk; if you claim it under pressure you are making a last throw of the dice.
I haven't done the lynch maths but assuming 3 mafias this isn't a MyLo situation.

It's not about when he has claimed or when he should have claimed. The point is, whether or not we believe his claim. Whenever someone claims miller, in any game that is, it's hard to believe them at first but then the next thing we need to check is, how that particular player has played so far in the game and in this case, Bevab has looked suspicious and because of this trusting his claim gets even more harder.

Yes it is. Claiming miller with the noose around your neck is the only way to save yourself. Especially because it also makes decision-making for the night very difficult for the cop/tracker etc.

Aditya, I'm getting slightly suspicious of you, especially because of your long posts with relatively less substance. Still, I don't usually pay that much attention to my suspicions and hunches very early in the game. FOS:Aditya

With Bevab, I feel we should give him a chance to post once more. We need to distinguish a bad town play from legitimate scummy behaviour (it happens very often with Bevab), and the only way of doing it is to make him post more.

Look, you guys say that he should have claimed a little early but at the same time, if you see there were 4 lynches on him when he came online today and yesterday if I'm right, he had like 1 or 2 lynches on him while he went offline so role claiming at that time wasn't the best deal but there should have been a better defense from him, on that I agree.

I had that coming, Varun. I might have exaggerated my points a little more than they should be but if you see, I'm trying to post my views on the game in detail, which is something I do often at the starting of a game. I agree with you, giving him another chance to defend himself might just be a better idea rather than to hammer him now. As he said, he will come online at around 7:00 which means we need to wait just another hour for his defense.

But really, I myself am suspicious of Zhourob. Aditya joke-lynched him and then he went completely off. He made only two posts after that. Consider me, I made lots. That does make a person suspicious.

I'm just asking why did he go off, when he was targeted?

Since Bevab will turn up mafia whether he's miller/mafia when lynched, I'm even more tempted to hammer it now

I think he could be useful in testing the sanity of the cop though.

If Miller:
Sane cop gets mafia result
Insane gets town

If Mafia:
Sane cop gets mafia
Insane gets town

So the sane cop would get mafia either way, while an insane would get town. It doesn't help in proving whether Bevab is miller or town, but it does tell us cop's sanity.

Millers don't usually come up as mafia when they die. Why are we sure there are two cops?
Also if we lynch him I assume that the cops can't investigate a dead person anyway.

When investigated by a sane cop, appears to be sided with the mafia.
When investigated by an insane cop, appears to be sided with the village.
When lynched, appears to be mafia.
When killed, appears to be miller.

Not saying that there are two cops, but from the write-up, I think our cop is insane. So investigating Bevab tonight will tell the cop his sanity. Whether he's miller or mafia, a sane cop would get a town result, while an insane cop would get mafia. With the cop sure of his sanity, we could then lynch Bevab on Day 2 (or Day 1 since today is 0).
