My role just says that each night I may protect a person from the horrors of the night. It says nothing about me being restricted about not saving a certain member on consecutive nights.

@Manly - Survival is the key, yes. However, why shall I reveal who I'm gonna protect today. I may protect Colin, I may protect someone else. And we've had games with consecutive protections allowed. I myself have been doc in one of such games.

@Varun - Perhaps it could be me mentioned in the write up. What do ya expect from me? I protected Colin, now if the write up mentions my services were misplaced, what can I possibly make out of that, which you yourself can't. I can just mention that I got a reply back from Puddleduck, saying I was successful. I've been put under pressure throughout the game, I claim and then you guys raise stupid question about I might be lying to get the real doc to claim.

I don't know exactly, but I'm still not convinced. Suspicion has damped down, but not completely sure you're town. Something tells me there is something tricky going on, especially with Colin.

I asked for your opinion, how is it a stupid question? That's you being too aggressive. Think from our perspective, we aren't assured you are the doc since you might as well as be mafia even if no one counterclaims (the real doc, if there, would be stupid to). Yeah, you'd say you don't care, but you have to, you know.

Ah, could be I guess. Considering he discounted our suspicions of Zhuorb since they weren't written as FOS I just assumed he was being consistent and was referring to an actual FOS.

I do take strong stance on my suspected member, yes. I'm aggressive, yes. When I'm defending, I'm over defensive and when I'm not defensive, I'm inactive/less involved in the game. In this game, I took strong stance on User and I was put into pressure, not just that, I was having 4 lynches on me. I claim doc, question are raised about my role claim. I'm told that my move to tell who I protected on night 1 is suspicious, when I reveal that my pm mentions nothing about protecting a certain member on consecutive nights, I'm again looking scummy and suspicious. Seriously, have yourself in my place and tell me whether or not, am I put under extreme pressure or not, more so when I'm trying to play it cool.

@sedition - you're missing the difference between suspicion of a player before he claims and turning it into a lynch/FOS after he claims. To move from the first to the second you must either not believe the claim or be mafia.

I don't think claiming doc, and then claiming who you've protected was a good move. In the writeup there was clearly a mafia roleblocker. If the mafia have to get rid of you, they can still easily do so.

I'm not too sure whether it is a true claim, because if you're lying, the real doc might be really hesitant to CC.
Although from the looks of it, you're in the clear for me, not not completely.

Successful indeed. Depending on who you work for.

I still feel there's something about User's role here, and it is not simply surviving. In a night writeup, being successful doesn't mean anything but a role.

@Adi - my view on User hasn't changed. Confirmed third party but SK/Survivor not sure.

Incidentally I still have a nagging suspicion that Manly or TheDon could be mafia. Abhas feels more town to me atm.

Okay, I know this is crazy logic, but from hindsight Zhuorb's claiming miller was finally positive for him, wasn't it? Assuming a smart player as mafia, this might very well be viable, but given this is unlikely, I'd say I'm not too sure. But my gut feeling says something like this is happening. I don't trust my intuition too much in mafia games, so I'll let things unwind a bit more.

However, I do appreciate that almost every person has been questioned in this game. Perhaps except Colin, because he's doing most of the questioning.

What a surprise, go after the one person pointing out the inconsistencies in your posts Looking for more PRs perhaps? Moving on from Aditya before everyone's had the chance to CC? Hell even with User on Day 1 you quickly changed your mind from keeping him to lynching him, perhaps because it became apparent that the lynch was unlikely to happen when 2 players were inactive and BKB, Abhas, Zhuorb and Varun weren't on board.

@sedition - this is a slightly different situation. We know from the write-up that there is a survivor or SK. We therefore know that it can't be a fake claim for a mafia. Granted User can vote with mafia later on to lynch off town and ensure his survival but I don't like lynching someone off we almost 100% know isn't mafia.

If by "quiet by my standards" you mean "most posts of any player in the game" then yes I'd have to agree

I'm actually coming round to sedition's POV. We have to kill User at some point before endgame where he could tip the balance towards mafia and if we don't do it now we might have to do it in a day phase later and let a mafia survive. One of the two times I've ever been lynched in mafia games was as a third party where I was pro-town but got taken out anyway cos I wasn't "town-aligned". Hard role to play and I agree that User is generally useful for the town with his analysis but in this case I think claiming was fail play and he deserves to get lynched.

and then at the beginning of today you were suggesting that people still wanting to lynch User are potentially dodgy, thereby offering some protection of sorts considering how many people seem to be following you. Getting really bad vibes now if things continue down that road.
