Have to agree with Varun, mafia's will most probably go after me. Either role block me or kill me. I don't understand why there's the desperate need to post again and again to protect you, Colin. If I feel I shall protect you, I will. I already posted this earlier. What if I protect you and I'm role blocked?
If Sedition is right in saying there were SK in the last two mafia games managed by PD, then I believe there could be one here too. We could also potentially have the cult there. This might be far-fetched but what if User is the guy cult leader is looking for? Could explain why he roleclaimed.
There could be a serial killer in the game, but rather than focusing on what may or may not be in the game, I'd rather try and get a mafia. Still feel Sedition is one, so I am going to lynch him (if I havent done it already).
Lynch:Varun
The current conversation between Varun and barmyarmy just seems forced. More like they're talking to a team-mate. Out of those 2, I believe Varun is the one that hasn't been targeted yet. If Varun is mafia, I'd choose to believe that barmyarmy is mafia too.
I'm saying that I'm thinking before posting some of them, especially the last few, so they might seem deliberate to you (that is 'thought out'), contrary to natural when I'd be thinking as I write and do not reassess it. If you feel that is suspicious, then I have sensed deliberation in Aditya, User, Colin, Manly, BKB, thedon and Abhas's posts at various points in the discussion. Sedition has seemed honest, I admitted before, while you on the contrary have seemed rash.
Well, I am off for 12 hours now, so Lynch:User in case a decision is reached before the day ends.
Suspicion flowed from every corner of Ducton's dimly lit streets. Plotting minds carefully pursued innocent targets. Cleverly applied pressure brought rewards, whilst careless slips merely narrowed the potential sights of eager trigger fingers.
Once again night would be shaded by guesswork. Information had remained hidden in the light of day, perhaps the break of a new day would bring fresh light.
Under the protection of darkness anarchy and chaos met. Nothing had prepared the rotten town of Duckton for such brutality. Sensible pleas fell on deaf ears. Creative solutions were ignored in favour of intuitive hunches. The grey and misty twilight that hugged the damp evening air was to be painted only by the flowing red of sacrifical victims. Those that had previously spun the wheel of fate and gained insight, had remained silent with their knowledge. For some, their silence was to prove fatal.
His previous work had already derailed potentially successful investigations. He would not get a second chance.
The routes had never usually confused him, however he unwittingly found himself well off his chosen course. Though unable to usually tend to himself, tonight he had no choice.
Confusing for some, but perhaps a boon for another?
He worked so hard for his position, he put in the hours and did the overtime. He wanted to continue his investigations, but meddling forces seduced his plans to submission.
The taste of success still tinged his lips just as the smell of blood still stained his hands. He had nothing but contempt for these lost souls of Duckton. He would claim all that he saw and covet all that he could not. He wanted nothing more than the death of anyone that opposed him. He was wise and experienced in the game of manipulation and tonight he seized the opportunity to rid himself of his potentially greatest threat. He stalked his target with a deft step and narrowed eyes. He watched from afar as his future victim finished his rounds, cashed up his till and made his way out of the depot. It was only a short walk home from here, so time was brief. He cut down a side alley and waited patiently. It only took one bullet to drop his target, but as he stood over the lifeless corpse he let go with two more shots. Whether they were for security and satisfaction not even he really knew.
Barmy is dead. He was the bus driver. Town Aligned.
A nights work completed, it was time to head back to his base of operations. Business and pleasure had always been difficult to distinguish between for a man with such dark intentions. He felt as though everything had gone perfectly. Perhaps that caused him to let his guard down, maybe that was why he now felt the familiar touch of cold steel pressing against the back of his head. He turned around as quickly as a man in such a position can, and had only time to smile knowingly at his killer before the fourth bullet of the night crashed through yet another fallen body. There was no need for a second shot. The man was gone as quickly as he arrived. The town would now know hope was checking out.
Abhas is dead. He was the Godfather. Mafia Aligned.
Chaos and anarchy had indeed reigned in union tonight. The morning would bring a new day, new chances, and new choices to be made. In amongst it all, for one member of Duckton, it would perhaps be a sobering experience...
