No Requests Quincy159's Downloads (Totally Retro): 1990's Bat and Equipment Sponsor Pack Released

OK, after a bit of guesswork with the sweaters and jumpers I have managed to complete the requested EA Cricket 2002 England Kit. Given that the real England kit of the time was very similar I have also included a representation of that as well.

The pack contains the two kits (pattern_09_col and pattern_10_col), plus accurate 'current' pants, emblems and sponsors.

To install:
  1. Unzip the contents of the downloaded file into a temporary folder.
  2. Examine the contents of the 'textures' file against the contents of your My Games\Don Bradman Cricket 14\textures folder to ensure none of the files clash. If they do rename the files in the download.
  3. Copy the contents of the 'textures' file over your My Games\Don Bradman Cricket 14\textures folder
Have fun!

As usual I welcome any constructive feedback you may have.

thankyou very very much!!!

This kit has taken a while for me to release as I have been trying to find a solution to needing the horizontal stripes to show on the short sleeve version but not the long sleeve. In the end I have given up on this and have finished the kits form the first ODI series in Australia after the peace settlement between the ICC and Kerry Packer's World Series Cricket. If anyone has a solution to this I would appreciate your help!

This season of 1979/80 was missing the near full coloured kits of the previous season and could be considered themselves a compromise. The old nightmare for fielders and Umpires, seeing a white ball against a white kit continued with the exception of coloured pads for the night games at the Sydney Cricket Ground. It should be noted that all of the daytime ODI's were played with a red ball.

One of the other controversies was that the England team management refused to wear the new kits and as I recall reading somewhere Bob Willis referred to them as, "ridiculous". In my opinion, they look the best of the three countries.

I have supplied 2 kit templates as the Australian kit has a lighter coloured collar, plus retro trousers and the 'WSC' sponsor template. I know that the WSC logo was seen on the other side of the chest however I wished to retain the country emblem for the sake of the hats.

To install:
Hope you enjoy!

Remember when New Zealand wore beige kits? Or when Australia took the field in canary yellow? England for some reason had no second colour on the shirt but used dark blue on their jumpers. Well, here is another step back in time to the early 1980's to have a look at how far ODI kits have come.

These Australian seasons of from 1980/81 to 1983/84 blessed us with some of the legends of the game such as Chappell, Lillee, Botham, Willis, Hadlee, Martin Crowe, Kapil Dev, Gaviskar, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Viv Richards, Clive Lloyd plus so many more. These kits were full coloured for the first time and gave the viewer plenty of visual excitement and even daytime games were played in the full coloured kit with the white ball.

I have supplied a single kit template where you can choose to have the sleeve stripes by selecting the appropriate 4th colour, plus retro trousers and the 'WSC' sponsor template as a replacement for "Zenith". I know that the WSC logo was seen on the other side of the chest however I wished to retain the country emblem for the sake of the hats.

It looks like you have copied the files to the modern folders. If you copy them to 'current_01', 'current_03' and 'current_05', they should work.

Glad you like them and the hi-res screenshot looks great!

hey quincy wanted to ask if you were still planning on doing the 99 world cup kits? and also if there was any chance you might be able to do one more Pakistan kit for me?its an old one from a tour of Australia, probably my most favorite kit of all time!:D

Hi Swisscheese

I apologise for not releasing any mods of late however I have been very busy with work and looking after my 4 month old daughter. Unfortunately I just haven't had much time recently.

I'm still slowly working on the World Cup 99 kits and have 5 of them done to date. The plan is to release them as a whole pack with perhaps some adboards as well. I have just been playing around with some kits from the era that I am playing at the moment being the early 90's.

The good news is that I have already started the ODI kits from the WSC series of 1992/93 where the kits you have shown are from. These kits were used only by Australia, Pakistan, West Indies, South Africa and New Zealand across two seasons, however workmates of mine have asked if I could do 'fantasy' kits for England and Sri Lanka, so at this stage I will do a full set including India, Zimbabwe, Holland, Kenya and UAE including sponsors.

Here is an early WIP below with a few issues like the 4th colour and correct angle of the lightning bolts. Should be ready in a week or so:
