Realistic goals for International Cricket 2010?

no matter how much you change it, crap will still remain crap.

AC09 was crap, use that as the base and the final result will be crap as well. Animations, physics, bowling actions, everything was so wrong with that game.

Go back, make Brian Lara 1999 as your base and improve on that, maybe then we might end up wiht a good game

You have no right to call someone's hard work as "crap", you are not forced to buy it. If you don't feel to buy it then don't but atleast respect the fact that they are trying their best to get us a good cricket game. So don't be a fool by saying the game was "crap" and stuff of that sort, just keep it to yourself.
:doh

When I pay for something and its turns out to be rubbish I have a right to say it sucks.

If was getting it for free I have no right to complain, buts its like watching a movie, if you go to the cinema and find out its bad, you have a right to complain.

No one forces you to do anything, so then you are saying everyone on Amazon.com who write reviews should not write them?

I work, and when I do a bad job, I am told its bad. No one is like thanks for your hard work. The client pays for it and they expect something and they have every right to complain if I dont deliver.

Same applies here. We as consumer have a right to say something is bad, thats our basic right.

Well said mate.

Ah, time to wriggle out of the wood work!!

I think its stupid to set sights high with this game. However i few tweaks and additions to AC2009 and in my opinion we could have a very decent cricket game.

Stat Tracking, i think clear important to most.

The AI slogging, tests need to be a test, a war of attrition. Work hard for your wickets.

Also, something i was thinking about, play and misses!!... AC2009 was very, they either hit it, sumhow edge it straight down or edge to slips.

If possible the odd exspansive drive, missed fly through to keeper etc. Something to get the ooohs, and ahhh's going. Nothing worse than almost knowing what going to happen.

This is just my opinion but i was never a massive fan, of the first person fielding camera. I like a realistic feel, therfore stay in broadcast view. Let me see my edges fly to slip.....

Hi Wealey, long time no see! You make some good points, as usual. :)

Ashes 2009 is is much bettter than ea 07 that is so popular because of its patches and it was a very minor presentation change to cricket 05 so no cried about it even it took 2 years to change little presentation but now when ic 10 is coming everyone is cribbing about it is just a small change :facepalm

Infact codies are the only company are still releasing cricket games and still taking forum feedback listening to its customers and not like ea release a game and forget about it (except the sales) they never have listened to a single compaint about gameplay from the customers and with ac09 it also tried to release a patch to fix more gameplay issues not game bugs(crashes etc) i dont think any cricket game has done that usually a patch is to fix game bugs like cashes but unfortunately TMG died and we couldn't get the final patch
but still beta patch es show enough proof that they had worked hard on releasing a patch that fixes gameplay issues

You just want to find a reason to crib and cry and also when you go to a restaurant and try a new dish and it is not good in your taste then do you fight with the owner no (if yes then you are a ******)

This was one of the most intelligent posts that I've read.
And do you own an xbox 360 or ps3?

Virender Sehwag added 3 Minutes and 24 Seconds later...

I did not talk about Ashes Cricket 2009, I was talking about the International Cricket 2010. According to you International Cricket 2010 will be crap that is what I read in the post you earlier made.

The 2 bad things about AC09 in my opinion are the AI Pacing and AI running, correct that and i'll be happy

I don't think thats true, AC09 is easily the best cricket engine ever. With a little tweaking it can be stunning.

Also features like 360 aiming and catching system set AC09 apart from any other game.

The unpatched AC09 was a frustration, and the bugs took a lot away from the game. But when it was patched, I thought it was a pretty good game. It sorely lacked depth, but it was quite good and it had a couple of new ideas that worked.

IC10 will be a polished version, addressing depth in tournaments but not in stats tracking. I'm quietly looking forward to it - not with any zealousy - but looking forward to it nonetheless.

The main thing is that IC10 should really be acting as an important stepping stone to an absolutely superb and deep IC11.

Yup, one thing holding true is the Transmission staffs idea of AC09 sparking a franchise. That can only be a good thing.

They won't be willing to do it year in year out because there's not much money in the cricket gaming industry. However, the attraction for doing it for the World Cup is much larger as we saw with BLIC07 so we might see a fully licensed 2011 version, if there is one.

Nah, in BLIC 07 the players were only licensed in the World Cup tournament... outside of it (like a test match for instance) it was still people like Droowid and Dany.

How come all the American sports games don't have to deal with this?

I would like to see cheerleaders in the game. It can be really boring just smashing every ball for a six or a four unless someone is cheering for you.

It will be nice to see 3D/animated spectators in the background, and preferably different looking spectators. Currently there is one guy in a blue striped shirt (with Monty Panesar?s looks). It would be nice to tweak the background crowd just like the Fifa series games. Would it be too much to ask if there are nice sun tanning women in the crowd? The only problem is that the general rating might have to change which might be a problem for Codemasters but EA Sports? Fight Night series is getting away with it between the rounds.

I would like to see the option where you have the option of turning off all displays on the screen so you can just concentrate on the game itself. Just a score is fine for me.

Improved ranking system offcourse, don?t just base on the number of runs and wickets taken. That is a joke.

Speaking of 21 stadiums, hope theres more of the subcontinent covered unlike those in AC09 having Kolkata, Karachi and Colombo.

Given the popularity of the sport in the sub-continent, it does warrant some more options.
