The Presentation Ceremony
With Rameez Raja

RR: :) Well, the first test here at Lords has been won comprehensively by 220 runs by the Rejects XI in under three days! They played wonderfully, breathtkaing centuries from No_remorse and Zain Awan, well supported by a fine allround performance from young allrounder Nitesh Hemlani, and good performances from the team in general lead them to victory over the mighty Aussies.
Now, firstly, we'll call up the losing captain, Ricky Ponting!

*boos echo around the ground as Ponting climbs on stage, some faint clapping is stopped by a call of 'Shut up or eat knuckles!' from one of the fan* :mad

RP: Thanks mate...
RR: So, how do you feel losing a humiliating loss to a team of former players and youngsters by a margin of over 200 in under two days. I mean you are the World Champions, and were bad mouthing them befor...
RP:  Yea, we know! And you know what, suprisingly we don't feel too good!
RR: But you have to say, this young bunch of kids and axed players beat your world beaters into submission in under two days. These kids hammered centuries against you, and this 14 year old leggie ripped your batt...
RP:  Yes, I know! I was there! Can I leave now!
RR: But don't you have anything nice to say? Or your tactics, some would question not bowling Warne more and bowling Lee to the ground. Also there is he question of Tait being underbowled and Hodge being one of your best performers...

*by now Ponting has stormed off the stage and is being escorted by security guards who are protecting him from sheep-tossing, fruit-pelting Aussie Fans...*

RR: Well, someone is in a bad mood...
We know call upon, the winning captain, Saurav Ganguly of the Rejects XI!!!

*A huge roar follows from the crowd, but to everyone's suprise, its not Ganguly but Zain Awan who walks onto stage...*

RR: Umm...so, Awan. Where is Saurav?
ZA: He is in the pavillion. He got injured while practicing in the nets
RR: Ouch, what happened? Took a blow while batting, a catch gone wrong...
ZA: Actually, he was padding up to bat a bit, but unfortunately while doing so he heard from the commentator that Tait had just gotten out and we won, and in his excitement he pulled to hard...
RR: But that couldn't hurt much...
ZA: He was putting on his box...

*The whole crowd goes 'Oooh' in pain*

RR: Ouch!! Hope he gets better. Well, back on the match, how did you think the boys did?
ZA: :) Fabulously! We bowled well, everyone did their bit. The batsmen did well, especially No_remorse, and our fielding was sharp. Hemlani was spectacular on this pitch which didn't seem to be doing much with spin, and did his bit with the bat too. Great stuff all around, I hope this shows other countries *cough*Indian and Pakistan*cough* how its done!
RR: You didn't do so bad with the bat yourself! Well, thanks Zain. Hope Ganguly gets better soon!
ZA: Thanks mate!

*Zain gets carried away on the shoulders of his teamates and fans, including the Aussies, all of whom are chanting "We will, We will, Thrash the Aussies! Thrash the Aussies!" to the tune of 'We will Rock You'*

RR: Time for the Man of the Match award, which is this lovely Mercedes Rocket Car! Top of the line, only made for this series! And it goes to...

*Opens envelope...*

RR: ...its a tie!! But I'm not suprised, it goes to Zain Awan for his century and Nitesh Hemlani for his brilliant allround performance, both of the Rejects XI!! :)

*Huge roar again, as Zain Awan and Nitesh Hemlani are carried onto the stage by the whole crowd, along with a few cameramen and reporters, and even Gilly joins in, only to be pulled back by a furious Ricky Ponting and a somewhat cheerful looking Warne, who too was about to join in...*

RR: Congrats you two!! It must be a great honour, do you have anything to...um...nevermind...

*By now Nitesh and Zain have lept into the jet car and have rocketed out of the ground, cheered eagerly by the crowd. The camera shifts to Warne who is also cheering, one glance at his laptop show the odds on the Rejects winning 350/1, and a $1,000,000 bet placed by a certain 'Txtmaster' on them...*

RR: Well, thats all here from Lords! See you, no...um..whenever the next match is! Goodbye! :)

*Rameez Raja then joins the cheering, dancing with an overjoyed and somewhat tipsy looking Shane Warne...*

In a shock decision by the ICC, the experienced trio of Thorpe, Ganguly and Taibu have been dropped from the Rejects XI for the second test match against Australia.
When questioned on tis decision, the new captain Zain Awan said: "Well, all the underperformers from the first game have been dropped. There are a lot of talents sitting in the bench, and they should do well."
The new vice-captain is Nitesh Hemlani, who felt that Ganguly, Taibu and Thorpe could "Provide and calming and helpful atmosphere in the pavillion, along with providing advice to the team"

wow great shocking news, all three drops.
Yeah. There were two reasons behind that decision actually.
1) They did not perform in 1st match
2) I wanted to include more forum members in my lineup.
