Release Date-August 7 ( New Trailer, July 16 )

what i think codis should do is very simple!!! get 3 different bowling actions for each bowling style and randamly use the actions to bowlers. it will be only around 12actions in the game!!! thats not sooo much to ask for is it. and u can have different body types as well and if the tall bowlers can get more bouns and short one can get bit more zip it will be soooooo much fun for people who really knows their cricket well...

we are foolish as poor cricket lovers to even expect that now ;)..maybe thats gonna happen in 2020.

That whole little series has some great moments in it. I love the victory speeches at the end! Talking of Gamespot, and I know it is completely off-topic, but there is a fascinating look at the production of PES10 in the PC Preview section. Gives some real insight into the production of a game like this. Amazing how many people work there, admittedly not all on just one game but it does show the intense amount of work that goes into games like this and probably Ashes 2009 although probably on a much smaller scale.

I know its "slightly" off-topic but then again, maybe not!

Cheers,

Dutchad

Edit: Just looking through the video again and I am astounded by the amount of tactical influence one can have on a team or a player. Wouldn't it be fascinating to have that kind of depth in a cricket game! Imagine being able to tweek a teams attacking and defensive inclination at different times. I realise that you can do that with field settings but what they are doing in PES10 and FIFA10 is a whole new level all together.

Those animations are absolutely shocking and wouldn't look out of place on a PS1. I'm still going to buy the game because it's cricket, but i'm hoping it plays a lot better than it looks.

dude... if its not good enough for you MAKE A BETTER GAME YOURSELF. seriously
Flawed argument here. Just because we are not able to do better doesn't mean we can't criticise.

I don't think there's any point criticising the game based on the trailer. From a marketing point of view the purpose of the video is to raise awareness during the Ashes of the game so you can play along too. Hence slowmos of the marquee players. Hence the exclusive with the Sun newspaper.
If anyone is seriously making a decision whether or not to buy the game based on that trailer they need to get their head examined. People who visit this site are not the prime audience the trailer is aimed at.

The trailer is OK....but apart from the obvious things people complain about I want to just point to something related. Fair enough the bowling animations (bar Panersar's) look exactly like BLC05/07. And thats just a bit worrying to me, Im sure they had enough time to fix up bowling actions that we've been complaining about since 05, yet theyre still in. Especially the Flintoff one where it seems like the entire left side of his body is connected to his right arm via an invisible chord of somesorts - if he lifts his right arm, his entire left side lifts as well and thats stupid. Lets wait and see, from what Ive seen the majority of things look as though theyve been copied directly from 2 previous games that sucked.

I would be fine with it if the actual changes are gameplay related.

I'm not too bothered about animations as long as its offering me a solid AI and gameplay.

You all whinged about the last footage of gameplay which was featured in the Ponting interview...so STFU and wait you fools.

Can't wait for this game, ok the trailer looks tacky but like others have said it doesn't represent actual game play footage.

Cmooon England!
