Our fellow member @Vishal687 has tragically passed away. You may use this thread to leave a message of any kind in his memory.

To be perfectly honest, we didn't interact much on this website, but he did message us before the TPCL, because he wanted to be a part of The Avengers. I feel really sad that we didn't get him in the auction. Having gone through a suicide attempt myself, I wish that I knew about his struggle, so I could reassure him that life has so much to offer still.

I'm choked with my emotions, never thought a day like this will come in my life, a good friend passed away!
You left us very soon brother.........

It feels so surreal, a few days ago we were joking around in the TPCL threads, and then a tragedy like this happens

I remember he had to wait patiently for a request that he made me on the Cricket 07 forum. Actually I was busy with my exams and all that time so I released things in a hurry. But I promised him that I would correct things and release it again. I actually did correct everything and released those stuffs.

Later on he learnt to make things on his own and I said to him that he was better than me so he doesn't need to rely on me. But he replied me that he learnt things from me and he will seek my support as and when he needs and he could never be better than me without my guidance.

Truly a very young humble person he was. It feels so bad that he left this world too soon. May his family members show enough courage to get through this rough time. :(

Rest in peace @Vishal687 !!!!!!!!

My apologies to all if I'm posting anything sensitive. My senses are not in stable condition after listening to this news. I can still feel him. A real team man, Intelligent person & True friend. Rest in peace brother, stay happy wherever you are right now! :(

This is incredibly sad. It is a tragedy. It is heartbreaking. RIP Vishal, you will be dearly missed.

Frankly, I never really interacted with him but saw him around and he seemed like a nice guy. Death is inevitable but taking your own life is just an incredibly sad tragedy. I hope he is in a better place now, but this story has a lesson for us. Please be kind, and gentle even if you are criticizing. You don't know how it could affect someone else. Something that you might term as a joke or criticism could disturb someone's mental peace. And always welcome them sharing their problems with you. If someone wants to take his/her life, they must have tried living too. It is not like it was an overnight thought. We don't know the reason behind his suicide, but we can make sure that the chances for anyone else considering this even can be far less with our basic kindness. Personally, if anyone ever needs someone to talk to, my doors are always open.

Plus, how about making him a Hall of Fame member or something on PlanetCricket as a tribute? We would all love to see what the admins can do in this regard.

Btw, this also reminded me of a similar post I once wrote on @CerealKiller's really courageous move to talk about his mental health.

@CerealKiller man, this story is really heart-touching! I'm glad you're here today and massive, massive props to you for gathering the courage to speak up about it, and recovering from that horrible incident.
Seeing how people fight so hard with mental health issues provides a life-lesson, that don't be insensitive or careless with your actions or words. You never know that those 'normal' words/actions for you can push someone to the brink of taking his life. A simple rule for everyone to avoid hurting someone's sentiments:

Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates:

  • Is it true?
  • Is it necessary?
  • Is it kind? ~ Rumi

Another thing is that in our subcontinental culture, talking about mental health is taboo. People who speak up about it are termed as 'insane', 'crazy', 'psycho', and many more derogatory names. It isn't even considered an issue. People feel insulted if you suggest them to talk to a mental health expert (@CerealKiller I'm glad you're smart and talking to an expert tho). In our part of the world, it literally is a curse.

I personally know someone who suffered from mental breakdowns after the death of her mother, and another friend of mine who suppers from hyper anxiety, and I saw them suffer. Literally, suffer, so I get your pain. I tried everything in my hands to help them both out and thankfully, they are in a better frame of mind now, though still not ideal.

Always remember that there is someone who cares for you, and it's all about finding that person, and I'm sure you've found quite a few on this thread alone. Take care of yourself, bhai! Stay strong and in case you ever need someone to talk to, then I'm always available. :)

Sorry for the long post, but if it helps someone feel better, nothing better than that! :yes

Yeah, he could be inducted as an honorary member
