A Tight Contest Here at W.A.C.A
A very tight contest here at W.A.C.A Perth. Western Australia won by a narrow margin of 6 runs and game was on till the last ball. In the last over when 25 runs were required and B.Hogg was given the ball it looked like there is easy win. But J.Moss smashed two sixes on two consecutive balls. And when 12 were required on last 3 ball J.Moss took a single and B.Hodge was beaten on fifth ball to virtually seal the victory for Western Australia.
Zain Awan who was used as fifth bowler was expensive and got no wicket. He was given the ball in 13 over. He bowled his full quota of overs till the end of the innings.
1st Over: (4 wd wd 4 1 0 4 1) This over was very expensive for Zain Awan and his team he conceded 16 runs including two wides.
2nd Over: (0 1 1 4B 0 4) This over was a little better than the last. Zain Awan was able to convincingly beat the bat J.Moss only to see that Gilchrist have missed it and it is going for 4 byes.
3rd Over: (1 0 0 1 1 0) This over was better of the lot. Only three runs were given away. And J.Moss survived a good LBW appeal from Zain Awan.
4th Over: (0 0 5wd 4 1 1 0) It was another expensive over at the death of the innings. He give away total of 12 runs of this second last over of the innings.

Victoria Vs South Australia
Warne Guide Victoria to Victory
Legendry Spinner Shane Warne Guide his team Victoria to victory in there second match of the Twenty20 Cup at MCG. South Australia after winning the toss elected to bat first on a hard track. But there batsmans give little resistance to the Victoria bowling especially Shane Warne. S.Harwood was equally good taking 3 wickets. South Australia were all out for 78 after 12.2 overs.
Victorian innings start was not that good they lost some quick wickets early on but a knock from D.Hussey gave them an easy victory by 5 wickets.
This is the Summary of the match.
And man of the match awards goes to Shane Warne because of his splendid show with the leather.

NSW Vs Queensland
NSW won by 1 run
NSW after electing to bat first scored 127/7 in there allotted 20 overs. A.Noffke Produced a very good spell to restrict NSW to a low total. He took 5//33 in his quota of 4 overs.
J.Maher and M.Hayden virtually sealed the victory with an opening partnership of 70 runs. But rest of the batting failed to capitalize on that early advantage and only managed to score one run short of NSW innings. The spinners S.Macgill and S.Katich bowled some good bowling spells and took 3 and 4 wickets respectively. In the end it was a very exciting match for the crowd and they enjoyed a every ball of it.

And the man of the match award goes to S.Katich for his good all round performance.
