Rugby Union

Extremely bad start to the tour of Europe by the Wallabies. Aus A losing to a second-string Ospreys side and then losing McMeniman to a neck injury (not serious, thank God) and Sheenan although I'm not to stressed over losing him.

england now lost 8 in 9

no haka at the wales NZ match today,

in fact it got done, but indoors, not on the pitch

Hehe English rugby is in major shambles. And so much for Scotland beating the Aussies, we gave them a down right thumping and our scrum was better than theirs how embarrassing!

I heard about the haka being down indoors that was cause the WRU wanted their national anthem done after the haka which broke the traditional of the haka so they did it indoors.

So disappointing that Connolly can't do anything right.

How could you honestly leave out Cross and Schifcofske? Hopefully they perform well enough in the Super 14 to be picked.

Out of the Wallabies? Quite easily actually :) What was surprising was them being picked in a World 15 having played no Super 14 games. Thats going to be the thing to watch out for next year.

Lol thats if he manages to stay on the field, I read the title of an article saying he won't be ready for the start of the season.

I forgot all about him, since it would never look like a Australian - England final again :(.

Giteau for captain!

We got hammered. Just like at the WC, we tried to beat teams with pure grit and aggression and no flair. NZ were too quick and skillful and we made too many errors. We'll never beat good teams through penalties since we don't have the skill to play past them.

Dam we missed a great chance to do the grand slam! But all in all been a successful year with Deans in charge. We definitely have seen his influence and with another season in charge who knows where we could be.

No sour grapes but I thought the ref in the Eng/NZ game was appalling. If they did it it was a warning, if we did it it was a yellow card. If Richie McCaw wanted to speak to the ref it was fine; if Steve Borthwick did it was sod off and shut up.
Considering how we were a man down for most the game I thought it was a creditable performance.

Deans is clearly a great coach and I think we're a real chance if we can keep going the way we are. Maybe we'll even win the Bledisloe Cup some day!

Delighted with Wales' autumn international series. Losing to South Africa was the one more disappointing result (and I was there) as we had a great great chance to overthrow the world champions...but progress is progress, and it was a damn sight closer than our previous encounters post-World Cup.
Beating Canada was obviously a must, although was far from impressive, running out 34-13 winners in the end with an absolutely super breakaway try from our tryline in the dying minutes of the match.
Then came New Zealand, by far the toughest challenge on the tour. It was really exciting, and the Welsh response to the Haka was truly chilling! Wales played sensationally in the first half to have a 9-6 HT lead, but, New Zealand just overawed everyone with their sensational play in the 2nd half to run clear of Wales, and win by, many would say an unjustified, margin of 29-9.
Finally, the Aussies, the last chance to get a SH scalp this autumn. It was a ding-dong kind of match with both teams having chances, yet Wales showed how far they had come since the World Cup failure with the incredible offloading ability which kept the Australian defence on its toes and the great play in the contact area, leading to what could've been quite a large win for Wales, as it happened, the Aussies had the last word and kept the pressure on Wales till the death, but the Welsh ran out 21-18 victors.

Bring on the Six Nations 2009! :D

Apparently Lote Tuqiri had been sacked by the ARU for ordering a prostitute with a Wallabies credit card, also involving one girl aged around 17.

Then again it's from AustralianGambling.com which is hardly a reputable source.

haha, your kidding me! what a way to lose your contract. shame he isn't going to play nrl. no club can afford a winger at his price. japan or france is on the cards.
