Season 2012-13 predictions

If Chelsea had beat arsenal 8-2 I'd never stop mentioning that ever

Yeah well, I'm not one to gloat. I 8-2 to remind them. :p :p :p

@The Don - What have Chelsea got to do with anything? We were within two minutes of retaining our title - Chelsea finished sixth!

Actually, since you're demeaning our victory:

That's what's in the books - doesn't matter who was or wasn't playing. :p

I think he meant that Chelsea still had the better season, even though they finished sixth and United finished second.

Chelsea won two trophies, United won one(if you take the Community Shield seriously). Who had the better season?

I'm talking about the league - and his post appears to concern the league:

Almost winning the title means nothing. Look where Chelsea ended up.

Obviously, when taking everything into account, Chelsea had a much better season than we did, but speaking purely about the league, well the table doesn't lie.

Sorry, posted that in a hurry as I often do and missed what makes the post make sense:p.

I get the sense that because you think that Utd have finished first or second in the previous seasons, that it automatically means they will win the title or come second. Hence why you keep repeating the three minutes. Chelsea finished first two season ago and then second last season. Look where they ended up.

Chelsea had the better season easily, but Utd were better. Nothing I saw last season from Chelsea makes me think they are guaranteed third place.

Anyway, I reckon Arsenal has the better squad than Utd without United's ball-winner on paper so it could be close, but Utd are better overall.

City look red-hot and Chelsea look lukewarm. I hate to say this, but I can't see past City for the title - unless we make a couple of late big name signings - one at least.

And yet Mancini says City are third/fourth favorites to win the Premiership this season. Gotta love his mind games. :D

Btw I've made a few changes in my predictions...

OK, I'm with you now.

I'm not worried - from what I can remember, we've never finished outside the top three in the Premiership era. ;)

I've got a prediction: City to start the season with a +5 goal difference. I reckon they're going to smash Southampton into tiny bits.

I think Utd will have a great start as well. They'll play very exciting, attacking football at the start of the season. The only question is whether they can sustain that throughout or will it fizz out like it did last season?

I'm really looking forwards to seeing Kagawa play - I'm hearing a lot of good things! :)

Obviously a good player, just a matter of time before he starts producing the goods.

A move to the centre midfield position would be disastrous though.

I disagree actually. Having seen him in pre-season I think he could definitely play in central midfield in the smaller games. He played very well in that position against Hannover. His main position will be behind the forward but he could definitely play deeper if Utd are going to dominate the game.

The RvP rumblings are getting stronger by the day, with rumours of a transfer this week - that Sir Alex missed the game in Germany to push the deal through. RvP and Rooney is a partnership that could win us the league back - I'll be holding my predictions for a while. :)
