It does as his saying suggests that Ganguly deserves a place and he isnt there because of reasons other than cricketing.
In the current context,it's pretty similar to saying " John Wright deserves to coach a country like India"
John Wright is still looking for a job,on the other hand Ganguly is looking forth to the team that can accomodate him.

The BCCI is more a dictatorship than democracy. All they want is money, and its costing the Indian players, including budding youngsters....
As i have said earlier,Dalmiya was better.

Ganguly may have been dropped because of poor form, but I think the main reason was that the BCCI saw Ganguly as a thorn in their side, and they well an truly hated him. The way the BCCI works isn't just, and Sehwag was right to voice his opinion....
True, they have been on a witch-hunt ever since they came into power.
The two Bengalis have been really bobbed down.
Yeah,but Ganguly would'nt mind much.
He's been given a Grade A contract. So,he's getting money without doing anything

And some of the fixtures that they have played (vs Pak in Abu Dhabi) or will play (tourney against WI in North America may be played) are made just for money, and in my opinion are quite ridiculous...
Agreed.Money,money & Money.
Why does'nt the BCCI turn up for Management College Fests where Money is the common theme ? They could do wonders.
The players should oppose this motive of the BCCI.

Gag, gag, gag!
Sachin Tendulkar has his first net in months. The media is not invited. When they land up they are asked to shoot for afar.
So TV has a sideways angle of Sachin playing a few shots. So do most photographers. And not even a few words from ST after the session.
Forgive me for saying this, but the media always over-hypes ST.When he begun his practice, the TV channels did report ' Sachin Tendulkar practices with a cricket ball'.
Obviously,he'd practice with a cricket ball-whats so great about that ?
Another thing,Tendulkar himself changed the location of his practice as he himself did not want the media meddling

What's so controversial about Sehwag saying he misses Ganguly (who he thinks is his mentor)? Or what's so secretive about Tendulkar knocking a few balls back that the media cannot take whatever shots they want?
The board says it wants to take the game forward. But this stuff reeks of the dark ages of Indian cricket.
Meanwhile M S Dhoni has signed an 'exclusive' deal with the TV channel NDTV. So what will he speak about there? His hairstyle?
For that statement in bold-
The Board wants to take the game forward by not playing in Twenty-20 ?
This is acute dictatorship.
