Shane Watson's reverse swing, why isn't anybody else doing it?

Yeah Bollinger has done the job certainly numbers wise. But it seems like he's bowling a bit worse than the numbers suggest IMHO. But as I said, I find it quite hard to analyse Dougie. He's an enigma. But I like him more than Siddle at this point.

The Lee I'm thinking of was the Lee that turned up in the tour match on the Ashes tour where he bowled fast reverse swinging yorkers to skittle the Lions. The underweight, sick Lee in India not so much. And Hilfy at least can be tidy even if he's not ripping the wickets out. I think Hilf & Hauritz for tidyness + Mitch and Lee/Siddle/Bollinger for wickets would be a decent-good attack. I just like Lee because he can do more with the new and old ball which is where there can be obvious improvement in the Australian attack right now.

Lee hasn't really swung the new ball for quite sometime and even then it was the white ball rather than the red one. Its hard to know with his reverse swing, it seems to come and go, plus we will never know if the form we saw in the Tour matches would have translated to Ashes success. He'll have to work his way backup through NSW for mind, I would want to make sure he still can take wickets. But going by our selectors he will be based on his ODI form.

Hilfy has at times gone for quite a few runs, even out doing Siddle and Johnson. Its a shame he got injured as this summer could have answered some of the question marks about him.

Didn't he answer them at the Gabba? He swung the ball a lot, and troubled two of the worlds best batsmen in Chanderpaul and Gayle.

The Gabba was swinging conditions, the fact that James Hopes has a 6 fer there tell you all you need to know.

The man who was one of the pioneers of reverse swing says Australia's new-found confidence in the art will help them win back the Ashes against England next summer.

Pakistan legend Waqar Younis, now his country's bowling coach, has watched Australia's bowlers from close range this summer and warned England faces a torrid Ashes defence on foreign soil next summer.

England built their epic 2005 Ashes win on reverse swing, but Waqar said Australia were poised to return serve after seeing Shane Watson and Mitchell Johnson bamboozle Pakistan with the lethal delivery.

Watson trapped Pakistan skipper Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Akmal lbw with two late-moving gems in the third Test in Hobart and Waqar said Australia's pace attack would help it reclaim the Ashes.

"We (Pakistan) definitely mastered the reverse swing, but now it is spreading and Australia is one team that is starting to handle it well. It's actually good to see," he said.

"I think Ricky Ponting would be very happy with the way his bowlers got some reverse swing going.

"There's no one big standout at the moment but the guys with a low, sling-arm action tend to be more effective with reverse swing.

"Mitchell Johnson is one of the best. He didn't take as many wickets with it in this series, but he's just getting better and better with the reverse swing."

Basically backs up what I said in regards to the slingy bowlers. I've never seen an opposition give so much praise to one player, Waqar seems to have a man crush on Johnson!
