Players come on the ground for second inning​

So here comes the players to the ground as Indians get ready to chase a total of 240. This match is well balanced and both teams will be looking to get an upper hand early on in the inning. For india the openers are Sachin Tendulkar and V Sehwag and mcgrath will begin the bowling for Australia.

India 21/0 in 5 overs

The indian openers started off cautiously in first few overs by leaving most of the deliveries. Mcgrath as always bowled a good tight line and did not allowed any width. Bracken also bowled well before giving one on pads which Tendulkar smashed all the way for four runs. So a good start for India as they took the score to 21 for without any loss in 5 overs.

Sehwag gone for 13​

Mcgrath very soon got the reward of his excellent bowling when he got Sehwag caught at mid-wicket to Symonds. So Mcgrath providing a very important early breakthrough to Australia as once again the opening pair failed to score for india. India lost its first wicket on 35 and Sehwag is out after making only 13.

Pathan is the next batsmen for India. Every Indian fan will be hoping for some good hits from him.

Pathan goes for duck​

Pathan is the new batsmen and he will face Mcgrath. First ball and Pathan edged it straight to Ponting in second slip. It was a perfect outswinging well pitched delivery which was too good for Pathan to handle as he went do drive it but managed to only edge it.

Mcgrath got his second wicket and India loosing two wickets on consecutive deliveries as Pathan goes for a duck. India now in trouble early on as India is now 2 down for 35. Captain Rahul Dravid now moves to the ground as India is struggling. Now India's two best batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid are on crease.

India 79/2 in 15 overs​

Now Dravid and Tendulkar provided some stability in the inning as they added 44 runs among and took the Indian score to 79/2 in 15 overs.

Sachin played some glorious boundaries and looked in full flow as he must have reminded Australians of coca - cola cup when he smashed two consecutive centuries against them to win the cup for India. Tendulkar played his trademark straight drives to full perfection and also smashed all bowlers whenever they offered some width. His magnificent knock so far included 7 boundaries. Dravid on the other end played an anchor role and just tried to give strike back to Tendulkar most of the time.

Ponting tried many options to get rid of this pair. First he introduced Watson in just 9th over but he got bitter treatment from Sachin. Then Ponting went for Clarke's spin in 13th over. Clarke bowled well and got some spin but failed to put both batsmen in any kind of trouble. This pair is now looking very dangerous for Australians. The required run rate is only 4.6 so, it is not a problem for Indians.

Dravid gone for 15​

Dravid and Sachin continued to play well and completed 50 run partnership for third wicket.

Just when India started to look comfortable, Dravid edged a cover drive straight to Jacques at third-man. Clarke got the reward of his very good bowling and provided the very important breakthrough to Australia. Dravid gone after making only 15 and India now 3 down for 92. Saurav Ganguly walks in as new batsmen. India now needs a good partnership and Ganguly has perfect opportunity to gain some form today.
