As wickets were falling on one end, Sachin played solidly on other end and reached to his 50 of only 58 balls with the help of 7 boundaries. A really good knock from Little Master.

Ganguly fails again

Ganguly fails yet again as he is caught by Australian Captain Ricky Ponting of Clarke. Clarke is bowling a golden spell and has got two very important wickets of Dravid and Ganguly. Ganguly made only 5 runs as Clarke got his second wicket.

India now in big trouble with 108/4. Yuvraj Singh will replace Ganguly. Now India's single hope will be Sachin Tendulkar who has looked in prime form despite of regular wicket fall on other end.

Yuvraj now comes to the crease to support Tendulkar at the other end. India needs a big partnership now to win this match. Both batsmen play cautiously and moved the score forward. Sachin continued to play in his natural style as he played some beautiful cut shots off the spinners. Realising the situation Sachin decided to not play any shot in the air and tried to find gap on the ground to much success. Tendulkar is now playing on 73 off 77 deliveries with the help of 10 boundaries.

Yuvraj on the other end just dealt in singles reached to 13. Both added 34 runs among them and took the Indian score to 142/4 in 28 overs.

Ponting realising the condition of pitch and Clarke's success, introduced spin from both the ends and told is seamers to have some rest. He used mainly Clarke, Hogg and Symonds but none of them got any further success.

India now needs only 98 runs to win off 22 overs at a run rate of 4.45 with 6 wickets in hand. India still have Kaif and Dhoni to come so pressure is on Australia at the moment.

98 from 22 overs is easy! Sachin should stay till the end to ensure this!

You never know...the Aussies are bowling. Sachin has to stay till the end...this is a precarious situation. If yuvi puts up at least 30 odd we will be in for an easy victory but you know the Unreliable Yuvraj Singh....

I predict-Mcgrath to be introduced into the attack next over :p
It will be interesting to see how Mcgrath bowls now and can he stop India from getting an easy win here?

Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj continued to carry on with their strong partnership and took the India score to 179/4 in 35 overs by having a partnership of 71 runs for the fifth wicket. India now needs only 61 runs to win from 15 overs which looks like an easy target for India.

After a slow start Yuvraj quickly got the moment and started hitting all Aussie bowlers to the ropes. He played with absolute ease against all the bowlers. Except Mcgrath none was able to cause any problem for him and he reached to 43 off only 44 deliveries which included 8 magnificent boundaries. Sachin realising that Yuvraj is timing the ball well, decided to play an anchor role and scored only 5 more runs in the time Yuvraj raced to 40s from 20s.

Ponting also tried many options but to no success. He went with the pace of Mcgrath at one end and spin of Clarke and Hogg at other but it proved disastrous for Australia with no success but lots of run from Yuvi's bat. This looks like an easy chase for India now and Australia needs some great bowling performances to win from here.

Double blow for India 186/6 in 40 overs

Two late big blows by Australia and some tight bowling have once again made this match very interesting. First blow was Yuvraj Singh who fell when Ponting brought back Watson for his second spell. He gave an easy catch to Mcgrath as he mis-timed an on-drive and Mcgrath had no difficulty in holding that. Yuvraj made good 43 and India now 179/5 and kaif walks in to replace Yuvraj.

In the very next over, Kaif tried to cut Hogg but managed to give it only an edge and Gillchrist hold on to a very good catch. Kaif scored only 1 run. India is now 186/6 in 40 overs. Dhoni is the new partner of Sachin Tendulkar. The required rate is now about 5.4 rpo. Sachin now needs to stay till the last ball as anything can happen at this stage of match.
