SimKit [DEFUNCT]

A small update.

Tweaking @Pinch hitter 's suggestion a little, I've now added a "Mentality" option in the Player creation/update screen. This will determine whether a batsman plays like Sehwag or Dravid.

This addition is live now.

The mentality of players that have already been created may need to be adjusted accordingly by the respective creators.

@asprin can you post new screenshot of newly simulated matches please or downloadable text version of scorecard...
Commentary is a work in progress. So you will come across repetitions in that. Full scorecard can be found below:

thanks...
there are too less boundaries scored in the match and also most of wickets fall as bowled and lbw (less catches)... and also make quality bowler bowl 2 to 4 overs back to back (one day)...

So realistic. It even knows that Hardik Pandya does nothing but leak runs! :p

Just kidding, the no. of boundaries must be increased.[DOUBLEPOST=1508851473][/DOUBLEPOST]@asprin Will defensive players not hit sixes? Even after being set?

I agree. I'm looking into it.

This is a bit tricky at the moment but certainly doable. But it's not on the top of my priority list at the moment.

My idea is that a defensive player will score 90% of his runs via ground strokes and the occasional "in the air" shots will go for four. So yes, 6 is not an option for a defensive player.

A UI update for one of the pages was just made live (to help viewing the data better on mobile phones). Let's see if someone can spot it.

^ good match... i don't know, it is player rating or anything else... but i feel, if 2-3 wickets fall during that 20 match, it will look awesome as real one...

It's combination of ratings and a little bit of luck. The bowlers are bowling wicket taking deliveries but it just turned out to be a batsman day.

We can't have all aspects in a single simmed match. Asprin you are doing a wonderful job, I think the suggestions about the simulations should only come after we have a sample size of say 10 matches between same teams in same conditions. Just saying what I feel.

Thanks. Appreciate the inputs. What you said is definitely correct. One match doesn't give the complete picture. So I'm sure once people start using the sim, they will get to see the range it has got to offer.

Having said that, I actually look forward to feedback received from the seasoned simmers (negative/positive/concern) since they obviously have more knowledge than me in this area and so sometimes I end up adding a new dimension to the simulator as a result.

@asprin I have a suggestion. IMO, there should be a batting position field when we create a player (is there? I havent have time to try it yet) .. If a player say, who is a middle order batsman, is sent to open, he should not play to his full potential. This would help the simmers greatly.
