Im using "Compaq Presario CQ50-106AU Portable".my computer got messed up am so many erros are taking place so i want to load the operating once again but i am not able to know which driver to install from these

You will have to install all the drivers.

Download all the drivers depending on the operating system, and you need to install those.

The type of beeping should tell you the problem. Check here for a decent list of bios beep codes. You'll need to know what bios you have.

We took apart a PC for the first time today in my course and then put it back together. After that, we removed various components to see what beeps or error messages (if any) resulted: RAM, CPU, HDD, Floppy/DVD Drives. All interesting stuff!

I too am using AVG 8.0, I find it to be very useful, low on system usage and detects very well. Use Avast @ work, and can't complain either, but prefer AVG.

AVG works fine.
I personally have Experience with 3 antivirus.
Noton, Nod32 and AVG.

So far AVG and Nod 32 are great.
while Nod32 you have to pay for it, you can get AVG Free from the website.
for me i like both. Works like a Gem.

Well the benefit from avast! over AVG 8 is that I've heard AVG 8 hasn't got internet / mail protection anymore in the free version, whereas in avast! there is.

Well I t have the E-mail scanner.
check out My one, this is What i am using for my current PC, where I download many Programs for testing purpose From every singles website i can find on the net. some time i bump into virus,etc.

With this AVG i have no Problems, My PC runs fast, no Slow down at all.
I was hit by a Virus already, where Windows just Pops up like mad. with this AVG It deleted the Virus.

Well it is up to you all which one you are familiar with.
