Well I have sent the laptop back as there was something wrong with the operating system, so as soon as I get it back, I am gonna try and finf out more about it. Thanks :)
 
Yes, because the 64-bit Windows 7 / Vista drops support for legacy 16-bit applications totally, while the 32-bit version supports them. Syedur Rehman's Cricksim is a 16-bit application.

Yes this could be the thing as cricsim works for me and I use Windows 7 32 bit.
 
i need cricksim aswell but this happens. What can i do?

Right click on the file, select 7-Zip, in the context menu, select extract to.. and extract the files to a convenient location.
Now try.
 
This is the error. I guess it has needs a different windows installed, but if someone has a simple solution then I will be very grateful. :)
