Solve your computer problem with the help of experts!

Try formatting it into different formats, just to experiment. NTFS should be faster. try exFAT as well.

NTFS appeared much faster at the start, but slowed down dramatically over the copy, and is stuck on 5 seconds remaining :/

It's the only way to compare flash drives - you can't really compare them by copying a different set of files. This is at different times mind you - I'm not writing both flash drives at the same time, if that's what you're thinking

I need the help of experts.

Windows XP, when I log on to any of the 3 accounts on the computer there's no taskbar and no icons on the screen, just the background picture. I can still use ctrl+alt+del and open things through the task manager but that's about it. I think it's something to do with explorer.exe isn't running, but even when I open it up in "New Task" it doesn't help.

Another strange thing that's been happening on the same PC, which could be related, is whenever I plug my SD card into the USB using the adapter and open removeable Disk "E" it would freeze so I couldn't view my pics and then it would do the exact same thing that's happening now and all the icons and taskbar would dissappear. When I remove the SD card the icons etc would re-appear and the computer would un-freeze. This has been happening for ages now but only today have the icons etc not re-appeared when I've restarted the computer. The same SD card and adapter work perfectly fine on all other computers.

Any help please?

Okay this is not a computer problem, but a problem with a phone. My mum has a Palm Tro 755p and it had a password set on it, somehow somone must have accidentally typed the wrong password too much and so now it says:
"Several incorrect passwords have been entered. To confirm the login attempt is not due to accidental button presses , enter 'A1B2C3' in the box below."
But that's not the problem, it seems that something is wrong and the phone keeps on typing random numbers, letters and symbols by itself, so we can't type in what we need to to unlock the phone. I've tried removing the battery, but the same screen comes up, tried pressing ok, but id doesn't work and tried a "warm reset", no result, anyone know how to fix it OR how to transfer the contacts in the phone onto my PC as the hotsync does not work.

Could be a virus-related problem. Have you scanned your PC recently?
Yes, this was happening when Norton was installed, but since then the Norton subscription run out and hasn't been renewed because that computer is hardly ever used. It does seem like a virus because the problem has hit it's peak since Norton run out last week, any suggestions? re-install XP?

Try inputting C3B2A1

----------

The password would be case sensitive, so press shift before pressing A (or C)

No that's not the main problem, the problem is that the phone continuously keeps typing random characters by itself and doesn't allow me to type anything

My Headphone jack (Green) is not working so I want to change the Headphone jack to red port. But I can't find the option in VIA HD Audio Deck to do so. Before I upgraded my Mobo I had Readtek and I could easily change the Headphone Jack. Just can't find the option in VIA.

basically i run windows 7 then have a virtual machine that runs windows xp mode. I had to uninstall my xp mode because the windows/system32/config/system or whatever got corrupted. When i uninstalled the xp mode I lost all my files off of it, is there any way to recover them?:mad

Depends how the xp mode was set up - if you created a virtual hard drive for that virtual machine and you still have it, then I think you could use that virtual hard drive as a sort of external drive for a new xp mode system

May I know why you use virtual XP mode? I mean only for CrisSim or something else too?
