Solve your computer problem with the help of experts!

Whenever I install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 on my PC, it happens many-a-times that the downloading stop in between and restarts.
Any suggestions on why is that happening?

Not sure where to post this as it is not a problem. But, I need a printer (all in one). Fax is not something that is a priority though. Anyone knows good efficient ones? I've only seen some HP ones. Anything other than that?

A big NO! For even 2000 bucks you can get a new card that will FAR outclass this card, by leaps and bounds! Please, whatever you do, DON'T buy the FX 5500! Its so outdated it would refuse to run most of the games, let alone run them with decent performance!

Buy new NVidia 9400 instead which will cost 1000 bucks more and will play 80% of games without issue.

I wouldn't think a 9400 would handle too many games... It's quite old.

I have 8400 in my laptop and it handles most games.

Like MW2, BFBC2, GTAIV, etc.?

I have two laptops, one has a 9500, the other has a 9300, and neither would be able to play those games.

I am thinking of changing my old gfx card and planning to buy Nvidia 8800GT 512mb (my budget isn't huge fyi). Good enough to run latest games? And what processor should I get to run the latest game smoothly? I would prefer AMD Athlon.

I'm not sure. The 8800GT is pretty decent for an older graphics card. I normally use Tom's Hardware's graphic card hierarchy to check that sort of thing.

Re. the processor, you could probably get a dual core that performs decently. Not sure if it would work in whatever motherboard you have though.

I'm thinking of buying a second HD4850 these holidays and a second internal harddrive for my computer.

I am going to change my motherboard also. From what I have collected, 8800GT is good enough to run 96% of the games released in the last 1 year.
