Someone very close to me died on the 24th of july :(

I feel sorry for you.
Grandparents are those who will always understand you and sympathise with you even if you are wrong .
So i know how hard its gonna be for you.
It does look like you were very close to him.
So it would be a bit difficult to forget him but yeah try your best.

'Forget him' is not the way to go about it. If you bottle up your feelings for him, by playing video games, it will not help as much. Because you will cringe everytime he's mentioned, as you have been hiding the death. His unfortune passing away is a reality, and should not be packed up and forgotton. Would you rather die being remembered, or have people doing everything they can to forget about you?
As I said, it is a long and painful process to slowly come to be fine about it, I still think about the great times I had with my grandad now, 3 years from his death, and I am fin e about it; because I was so open about the death. Chat about hm with your mom/dad, if they are up to it, because they will know what your going through. Remember, don't bottle it up and throw it away, remember him gladly for the great things he's done in your life and the good times you had together.

I lost my dad the day after my birthday, and he was in hospital on my birthday, so I know what people feel like when they are down. Feels like ****, don't it? Anyone got any problems, just PM or drop me an e-mail, I'll be here :)

Remember, if you feel the need to cry, do, it makes it better. The more you cry, the better you will feel about it, over time too. I would think no less of a man of you if you did cry, nor would any mature person.

Yeah i agree with you.
Funerals today so better get ready in a few minites
:crying :upray

I agree with Ronan. The only way to move on is to let your feelings out. If you don't it's like creating pressure in a container. It'll build and build and then the container(i.e you) will explode and that is when people can get serious mental illness or become so stressed that it creates a physical illness. Don't get me wrong, moving on isn't forgotting the person, I will never forget my nan, It is getting on and doing your best in life for them as well as for yourself.

However, sometimes strange things can happen when your relatives die inside your emotional self. My dad's side of the family is Welsh-born from my Grandad upwards (making me a quarter Welsh) but I would always say I was an English. However, since my Great-Grandad died I have found myself becoming increasingly drawn to Wales. If yoyu asked me for my Nationality now, despite being born and raised in England I would call myself a Welshman 1st British 2nd and English 3rd.
This things that change your emotional self are not bad things. They help you discover more about yourself and what sort of person you are

Agreed. Don't do what I did last year, I bottled the whole lot up and in the end I was a real tosser towards people at times, which just isn't me at all.

Remember, we're all here if you need to offload anything. :cheers

Well the funeral service went as good as it could get.I feel alot better knowing he is in rest now.
Afterwords we met up with all the family and swapped storys about him etc..
We also had a pool tournment which made me feel better.I won it aswell hehe
