South African Tour of the West Indies, May-June 2010

Great partnership by Chanderpaul and Nash. This is the Chanderpaul I like to see. Good stodgy defense, putting away the bad balls when they come. Mind you Nash is playing brilliantly as well.

Very boring series IMO. South Africa all the way. They should have played Newzealand in place of South Africa. Both equal class teams then :doh

I would have liked to see NZ play as well. It's winter here so no cricket going on.

This looks like a Draw unless RSA only score like 100 in a second innings.

Really happy for Nash, always said he is one of the more underrated batman out there, especially West Indian.

This is his 3rd large partnership with Chanders, the two are peas in a pod. Nash will learn a lot from him

Its because they are sure in each other. They can play freely without having to worry about the guy on the other side. Shiv knows that Nash has a cool head and can play according to team needs and the other way around which makes it easy on both of them. Shiv hasn't had this for a long time, it was always him trying to protect the tail but now he has Nash.

I for a fact know that we will newer see all 3 in the team at the same time. They cant stay fit at all. Weak.

Have faith my friend. As a neutral it will be great for test cricket if they are fully fit soon. Thus giving the windies a full-strenght test XI circa 2011 of:

Gayle
Barath
Sarwan
Samuels
C'Paul
Nash
Bravo
Ramdin
Taylor
Roach
Edwards

Very solid.

If all you need is your best XI fit, you can bet that you'll never get it. It's when you've got good players coming out the wazoo that you find you have a guy who is permanently carrying drinks.

What angy said below.
Right now they cant get half of that team fit and ready to take the field together and there is no way they will get them all in the same team. As I said they cant get Roach to stay fit and play a test series so getting two of those quicks together is like me winning the lottery. ████ aint happening.
Also not having a spinner in that team is not good at all. These days a spinner is a must and with the overrates around there is no way a team can go without one. Hopefully by the time 2011 comes around Ramdin will be long gone from the test team and pray to god he never returns after.

Great batting by Chanders and Nash, wasn't expecting this.
SO this test is going to be a draw, no results.

the WICB is worse than the BCCI for preparing rubbish tracks. over a thousand runs for 10 wickets in the first 3 days, how any standard of batting can be judged on a wicket like that I don't know.

over the past 5-6 years 90% of the wickets have been the similar to this one. It is disappointing but at least we know its going to be better in Barbados.
