In hindsight, if they're targeting the Ashes, given they've got Pakistan and New Zealand this winter they might not miss Foakes as much from a keeper perspective, so getting a new guy in makes a lot of sense.

Smith certainly looks like an outstanding batting talent and his keeping has been solid.
