Wouldn't expect anything less from his coach. I wonder what he thinks of Hauritz as essentially he too has done all that is asked for him. Wickets here and there but not much else.

Boy that NSW side looks different, Cruickshank must be killing it in grade cricket to make the side at his age. Copeland doesn't seem to be as effective in this format. O'Keefe was easily the pick of the bowlers, backs up the selectors move to pick him in the T20 squad.

That 57 was brilliant and it's one of the reasons I say that Hastings must prove he can not only bowl well, but also bat. Hopes contributes at the end of the innings with those 'for the team' kinds of scores and he has had to grow into the role. Hastings has shown potential with the bat, but in limited overs has stuff to work on.

Blues started okay chasing 168, but rain has revised that to 123 from 14, which could make things trickier.

Blues probably needed to be 80-90 after 10, but they've fallen away. Khawaja is struggling to get even a passable one-day strike rate and Chandimal has given them a couple of let-offs. They need someone to light up and they don't seem to have those sorts of players in the side. Henriques scoring 50 in about 15 balls looks like the only chance at this point. I know domestic teams aren't keen to risk players in tour games, but they really haven't picked much of a batting lineup for a T20.

OK so we're only a couple of hours off the first international match of the summer - even if it is only T20...

Looking at the Aussie squad, you've got 6 guys to fit into the bottom 5 spots in the XI. I'm guessing it won't be O'Keefe or Nannes, since they've been selected only for the T20s. Hoping that the Aussies leave out Smith tonight, have O'Keefe at #7, and then 4 quicks below him. Smith can play a bigger role in the ODIs where I think the selectors will be keen to see him in tandem with Doherty/Hauritz against an Asian team to see how they might go with 2 spinners at the World Cup. Plus it's Perth - we won't need Smith and O'Keefe, and there's Dave Hussey if more spin is needed.

Batting order will be interesting. Probably the same as the T20WC Final: Warner/Watson, Clarke, Haddin, Hussey, White. Hopefully Clarke at #3 anyway, coming in to steady early. If there is no need to steady, just skip him

Wouldn't surprise me if O'Keefe is 12th man even though hes only been picked for this series. They like bringing players in for experience.

What is this? I was expecting Watson and Warner to open the innings and watch some fireworks. Clarke is just going to slow the pace of the innings.

I would like to see Malinga finish his innings quickly, so I can see Watson play. Or even better: White.
