Sri Lanka's tour of India - November 2014

The most impressive thing about Raydu is his temperament. He can be a really good test batsman for us but his big test will come in Australia against pace.

Anybody know what happened to Ishant Sharma? Akshar Patel has been absolutely brilliant in this series. He has out bowled Ashwin in every single game. He can bat but if he makes a significant contribution, he might come in serious reckoning for that all-rounder spot in the world cup. Jadeja has finally got some competition. It's also good to see Umesh's accuracy. Even though he is not bowling as fast as he can, he is still bowling in early 140's which is good enough to trouble the batsmen.

Did anyone know what happen to Ishant Sharma?

The worrying sign from today's game was that our top 3 struggled with short balls even on this slow and low wicket. They will get hammered in Australia if they don't improve very quickly.

India's squad for last 2 ODI's:

  • Virat Kohli (capt), Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa (wk), Akshar Patel, Karn Sharma, R Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Dhawal Kulkarni, Stuart Binny, Vinay Kumar, Kedar Jadhav
  • In: Rohit Sharma, Robin Uthappa, Karn Sharma, Vinay Kumar, Kedar Jadhav
  • Out: Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Wriddhiman Saha, Ishant Sharma, M Vijay, Varun Aaron, Mohammed Shami

Oh god, it's Vinay Kumar again.
