Sri Lanka's tour of India - November 2014

Delightful opening by pacers as well, by all means. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1414936006][/DOUBLEPOST]Ash!!

This is so frustrating for Varun Aaron. He finally got his chance for ODI's and was looking in good rhythm and he gets injured. I just hope it's nothing serious and he can play couple of more ODI's in the series. Also Australia should see how MJ plays spin, oh god he is so good against the spinners.

Also it was great to see Kohli's captaincy. Even though he was a bowler short, he still operated with his frontline bowlers rather than giving bowling to Raina. He wanted to take wickets and his bowlers responded well.

Aaron must be gutted about that injury. That was serious pace from our bowlers and more importantly a lot of penetrative quick bowling initially. Aaron was repeatedly pushing the 150 kph mark and India can pick a really quick pace attack for Australia, for the first time in history. Aaron, Yadav, Shami, Ishant and Bhuvi would make a really really good quick bowling pool for that tour to Australia. I hope the selectors don`t go back to Pankaj or Mohit again. As it is, Dhawal Kulkarni should`nt have been in this squad. Ishwar Pandey is a better bet than Dhawal who offers nothing special.[DOUBLEPOST=1414939205][/DOUBLEPOST]

It really does make a huge difference when the captain is looking to pick up wickets rather than defend. It seemed like Yadav and Aaron were given the license initially to go flat out. If Aaron can be fit for that Aussie tour, we might be in for some fun.

Ishant is bowling well so that means he will be back in the World Cup plan with his experience. As commentators pointed out, his seam position have seem to improved and his wrist is right behind the ball. He was also pitching it on the seam which is always good to see with Ishant Sharma. I just hope however that he does not keep Varun Aaron out of the squad for WC. I am saying that because Mohit Sharma has been part of our ODI squad regularly in last year and as soon as he is fit, he is likely to be brought back. I haven't seen anything special from Mohit Sharma to keep him in the squad. My choice for fast bowlers for WC squad would be:

(1) Shami
(2) Bhuvi
(3) Umesh Yadav
(4) Varun Aaron
(5) Ishant Sharma

I would also like to see all 5 of them for Australia test series. This is probably the first time I am actually excited by our fast bowling. They all are young, fit and can hit decent pace.

But why did he leave soccer , @PokerAce[DOUBLEPOST=1414942390][/DOUBLEPOST]Who said India lacks Pace?

I think because of all the time he has put into his cricket, first being such a valuable player for Kings XI and then breaking into the Indian side and all, his football now sux. No wonder he left. He is pretending to be injured while he plays for India. :)

What if he plays both cricket and soccer at the same time?
Would he b banned??[DOUBLEPOST=1414943105][/DOUBLEPOST]

Exactly! Mohit is just a slower ball.
