Good morning all. Core and realistic gameplay is much much more important for a game of cricket than simple things like dynamic lineups and squad mentalities.

Was also wondering about the online difficulty levels in relation to the offline medium hard etc.

In online it's the old method pro veteran etc.

The batting legend level in online is easier and feels much better than the medium offline.

Some clarity needed there.

I think people are in confusion of what Dynamic Lineup means...

Below example is explained the dynamic line up as per me.


Ex: South African team would be an ideal to be explained.


Test Playing XI:

1. S Vanzyl,

I can give you an idea to implement this scenario...Keep an indictor / checkbox for each player like format / Value Ex: Test / True ,ODI / False ,T20 / False


if you make the Test true for Vanzyl and false for ODI and T20, then he should be only selected to play those formats likewise for MS DHONI he got retired from Test and only plays ODI and T20s now.


Why the hell he should be selected for Tests as well?


I dont know how big this logic to be implemented , but yes this is dynamic lineup , not just changing 1 player based on form.


Comments and Suggestions appreciated...Big Ant please implement this way this change will take the game to new heights.
As long as this is pending dynamic lineups won't be solved and moreover it is not called dynamic lineups at all OR do not even keep dynamic lineup in DBC 17 put it as per DBC 14 where what ever we assign as squads it should pick those lineups, if this cannot be implemented. @Logic 46

Played the game last night for about 4 hours. Obviously I need to spend a lot more time but I must say I'm mighty impressed and loved being a genuine bowler in career.
When you bowl to a plan, I could see edges of the bat, stumps being uprooted (without inside edge), some close lbw calls and catches in the deep as well.

Overall loved the game play very much. Looking forward to spend more time playing dbc17 as a bowler . Thank you Bigants and fellow beta members for all your effort.

Thanks mate I since you are bowling can I ask you a question, are the stats accurate in bowling?
Batting we know that not outs are not being considered, this still remains a bug.
Bowling also has anything as such which still remains an issue then we need to address it.

There may be something lost in translation here. What you've explained is already possible by setting default line ups in the academy. My understanding is the purpose of dynamic lineups is for the default XIs to change based on form. I might be wrong. I've not played career yet so I'm not sure how it works right now.

I do actually like the checkbox idea you mentioned and I would like to talk about that more than dynamic lineups. Perhaps something that could be done when you add a player to a roster - you can select the formats they are available for (FC, List A, T20). Maybe it could even include a 'T20 Tournament' or '50 over Tournament' that way @Llewelynf wouldn't have to create new teams for Champions Trophy.

The patch was supposed to be out end of april.
Therefore I am asking where its at as it should have been released by now!

If Big Ant were intending to release patches for PC only prior to end of April and let the console users wait even longer, then it should have been communicated this way!

It'd be a good thing to implement. For someone like Tymal Mills who only plays T20 it'd make sense, but I expect Big Ant's priority is on fixing what's already there rather than adding new things. Maybe something for them to think about for patch 5 or DBC 1X.

I understood but it's a great feature and can pull some people to buy the product as well

But atleast stats issue should be 100% fixed in patch 4 itself , I beg for stats to make it as DBC 14.
You know what because of stats issue currently I am playing as if no body to monitor me. Who cares what ever you score or how much you score nothing gets accounted, I will think this every time I play and loft it and get out.no fun , no patient innings in tests what to do even not outs issue should be resolved because sometimes I will end up being not out after hitting century . The average will boost suddenly from 35 to 39 levels

@Langeveldt - how about this beauty. Legend, hard bowling. no hint of an inside edge.

Same match had another bowled with an inside edge, but very realistic/organic looking, and what i thought was a plumb lbw right in front of middle stump, saved by the thinnest of inside edges.
