yo i would like 2 see online play also i would like grade cricket (australian grade cricket etc) and u could use internet connection 2 get all the teams from the grade comp and play with them would also like 2 see challenge mode to unlock bats etc u start off with original bats but if u complete challenges like ( hit 2 sixes in a row, get 20 off this over etc) u unlock more bats etc

I think it was mentioned in another thread but i'll post it here.
I'd like to see a bowling action creator where you go through a list of run ups, a list of take offs and a delivery style for when you create a player.

That would be possible but to do it well I reckon it would have to require motion capture otherwise I don't think it would flow together very well.

Unlockables:

- Teams of the past (The invincables, Windies team that everyone talks about, australian team with warne, mcgrath, gilchrist etc)
- Retro strips for one dayers, maybe just old World Cup ones because there has been so, so many. Would be cool to have the ones that showed too much chest hair and chains, haha
- Retro gear! Old bats & helmets!!!
- Bodyline mode (Take off the 2 ball bouncer rule and not allow batsman to wear helmets)

Just a quick question, can you choose if your batsman wears say their helmet or baggy green when batting? Like if the opposition puts on two spinners will there be an option to take off the helmet?

Yes you can choose between a helmet and cap, although they have different pros and cons if I remember what LM said correctly.

What i would really like to see would be dynamic wickets... like the pitch from the Sydney test just gone... with cracks down the pitch and if you hit a crack the ball will do a bit of who knows what... or like the test going on in the windies atm where there is the centre line from a previous football game, making that line across the pitch play havok... although i dont think any wickets have fallin because of it lol. but that is probably not so easy to code. would be sweet to see though

Yes, this was mentioned ages ago - yes, it is in.

This will be in...cant guarantee how 'dynamic' the cracks will be, but there will be cracks that will have an effect on the ball. Will really only come into play late on into a test match.

Can we have a photo import feature for create a player? It has been used for Become a Legend on PES 2009

How about a set of crack textures (just for variation from game to game) which are overlayed onto the pitch. As the game goes on they become more and more opaque, so the cracks show up more.

Then, when the ball lands, check the colour of the crack texture at that particular x, y (I assume that you can implement these sorts of things), then the darker the colour (or the darker the alpha channel) the ball gains extra "eccentricity".

This could also be helpful for adding rough to the pitch for spinners.

LM, does this sound like a feasible way of implementing this?

It sounds like a good way of implementing the feature. It reminds me that in Rocky IV, they put the make up on with all the cuts and bruises and filmed the rounds in reverse order.

Just out of curiosity (don't know how this is done), if you are to put a texture with cracks do you put a different set of values for the balls that pitch in that area of the texture (where the cracks are)?

Well, Tom answered your question.

Yes, it is a good way of doing it, though i dont believe i'd be able to check the alpha level at a particular co-ordinate :(

Rather i would have precreated crack overlays and pre-measure out which co-ordinates have the cracks. There would be a random overlay chosen at the start of a test match and then each day the opacity would increase. Some cracks in the original overlay would be more opaque than others so as the opacity is increased over the match cracks that were not previously visible can show up, though they will of course never become as 'dark' as the other cracks. Still, could be a funky effect.

LM, was wondering whether it would be possible to let individual players have their own kits, both the texture and the model of the kit (like pads, helmets). This need not be a feature out of the box, but could it be left as an option to make changes later for the user?

Also, while playing some of the other cricket games, usually there would be too many runouts, more because of confusion than anything else. Might it be possible to have an 'autorun' feature where the players tend to run automatically without user input after hitting the ball. An appropriate no of runs depending on the shot. The user however should be allowed to intervene, to either pursue another run or abort one.
