Whoa, calm down. It has not even been confirmed that the number of testers is being cut down.

just a question-

see when you are creating a tour, how is this done? do you pick a country? how many matches? and then what teams? or what is the situation?

thanks

Will Injuries be present? Then there will actually be use for the large tour squads that are in every cricket game.

1) When playing the on-drive and straight drive, will we be able to play the stroke in front of our pads instead of having to give ourselves a bit of room (if you know what I mean)? If you mis-time it or play it to the wrong delivery it could increase the risk of a LBW

2) Instead of an arrow, maybe their could be an icon of a ball with one side shinier than the other to show which way the ball will swing?

Domestic cricket.

A career mode where you start as a player at club level. You would only control your own player, so if you were batting at no.6 then the innings will skip until just after the 4th wicket has fallen. Good performances could earn you a contract with your county and possibly an international call up.

Player stats automatically updated after each match.

Lots of different attributes so that each player has their own strengths and weaknesses and isn't just a copy of another player (eg. Brian Lara Cricket) but has their own style.

Batting
Front foot - ability to play front foot shots.
Back foot - ability to play back foot shots.
Footwork - ability to move feet into the right position for a shot.
Pace - ability to play against pace bowling.
Spin - ability to play against spin bowling.
Swing - ability to play against swing.
Seam - ability to play against seam.
Concentration - ability to stay focused throughout a long innings.
Vision - ability to see where the ball is going (affects size of bowling indicator, people with low stats won't be able to see where the ball is going until very late)
Reading - ability to read the direction and amount of spin.
Speed - running speed between the wickets.
Judgement - ability to judge the risk of running (high judgement means less likely to do suicide singles)

Also a tick box for certain shots to see if they can play them or not. Eg. reverse sweep.

Bowling
Pace - How quickly a bowler can bowl.
Bounce - Amount of bounce a bowler gets.
Swing - Ability to bowl swing.
Reverse Swing - Ability to bowl reverse swing.
Wrist Spin - ability to bowl wrist spin.
Finger Spin - ability to bowl finger spin.
Accuracy - How accurate a bowler is.
Consistency - Bowlers with higher consistency are more likely to bowl line and length (AI only)
Reactions - Ability to take caught and bowled chances, divert ball onto stumps etc.

Also a tick box for certain deliveries that only certain bowlers can bowl. Eg. Doosra.

Fielding
Throwing (Speed) - how quick a fielder throws the ball.
Throwing (distance) - how far a fielder can throw the ball.
Throwing (accuracy) - how accurate a fielder's throws are.
Keeping (catching) - ability to catch as a keeper.
Keeping (Stumpings) - ability to take stumpings as a keeper.
Catching (circle) - ability to take close in catches in the circle, where reactions is more important.
Catching (outfield) - abilty to take catches on the outfield, where safe hands and judgement is more important.
Diving - ability to prevent a boundary by diving to flick the ball back before it crosses the line.
Speed - how quickly the player moves while chasing after a ball.

Also a tick box to see if the player knows how to field in certain positions. Eg. Short leg, silly mid off.

I don't think there will be a career mode due to time constraints but hopefully this feature could be implemented in any future versions.

Career mode definitely won't be there.

Things That WONT be there :-

9.) Career Mode (too time consuming)

There is a very high demand for it so I expect it will be made as an add on at some point.

They're in, but we don't know exactly what the attributes are, but they will be quite detailed.

1) When a new batsman arrives at the crease, will their stats and picture appear like in real life?

2) Will there be an option to choose either manual, semi-auto or auto fielding?

1. Yes
2. Dunno

1. Yes that's true at this stage

2. probably just auto or manual, no 'semi auto'

yes, definately. Injuries are important.

The plan is to have some preset tours you can choose from and also a 'custom tour maker' utility which allows you to build your own tour then play it out.

Domestic and career mode will be made as add-ons later depending on the popularity of the game ;)

Online play is definately in, assuming nothing goes horribly wrong.

@Will, the animations will determine where your stroke goes, unfortunately the animations have to be 'pre-rendered', but as it stands the on drive and straight drive do kind of go in front of your pad a bit, especially the on drive, meaning you will risk an LBW if you miss it.

@Madman, you are still in the beta testers according to my book :)

@Krypta, some good ideas there mate, many of which are already implemented...but i may use some of 'em which aren't.
