Hoping for a NZ win so Pak can top the group and avoid South Africa in semis. Or is there any way that SAF won't top their group? heavy defeat against India?

I just forgot that Sri Lanka already got four points. If Pakistan want to avoid South Africa they will need New Zealand to beat Sri Lanka. And a heavy defeat can indeed mean that South Africa ends at the second place, but that it isn't likely.

Ajmal is looking good for Pakistan, one of the surprise packages for this tournament. Their batting is alright, just need one more guy to convert a start.

Ireland again did well, just don't have the experience to be consistent enough to beat the top teams.

SA will start off as favorites against India due to their form in this tournament and also because India is playing for pride. I doubt if they will suffer a heavy defeat (although a defeat could be possible).
