Ajith looks completely amazing in Veeram. I am really starting to admire the white beard man. I don't really like the trailer because this is no where close to my liking. In action cinema, hero is the only one who is going to make an impact in the movie, no one really cares for the female except maybe for the glamour quotient in the songs. Ajith must really be appreciated for the roles he does because he does roles without hiding his age unlike some others..
Yup bro i completely agree with you Thala acts in characters that are suited to his age he is not like vijay who acts as a college student at the age of 40.
That is Thala Even senior artist like kamal, rajini & vijay acts like young thala will act according to his age now tell who is vetti scene imagine vijay in salt & pepper style

THALA DA!! THALA POLA VARUMA!!
Well tell me this - does Vijay really look 40 to you right now? Its a boon for him that he can look like a college student even though he is 40 right now. Aamir Khan when he did 3 Idiots, looked too old for a college student. In comparison, Vijay looked more perfect for that role since he naturally looks really young.
Ajith looks much older than Vijay. And I don't yet agree that he has started doing roles his age. He is romancing with Tamannah in foreign locales for this film (Veeram).

Salt and pepper style is not required at all for everyone. Why would we Vijay fans, want to see him in a salt and pepper style? In Indian cinema, we always want our heroes to look young. The older they start to look, they lose their charisma. Ajith has a big set of fans, and that's why his image has not taken a beating inspite of the salt and pepper look. If he tried this salt and pepper look 2-3 yrs back, he would have got brickbats (and a film or two that would have flopped).

That's a very bad attitude that exists in Indian cinema (more so in the South). Its not at all a healthy sign that females are relegated to only the glamour quotient of the film. I don't enjoy films where females are just used as eye candy material. My most favorite films are all mostly ones where there is a strong female character (e.g. Padayappa, Mannan, Chandramukhi, Kushi, Kaakha Kaakha, Mozhi, Vaalee, Thullatha Manamum Thullum, etc)
Yeah, true. Dont mistake me that i like females only for glamour, the thing is i really dont care much, i do bother only about the hero, he is the one who is going to come in almost every scene of the movie be it comedy, romance, fight etc.. so on that note, i watch tamil movies only and i watch them only if i like the hero at least to some extent, there might be a few exceptions here and there though.

And Sai, did you get to see Endrendrum Punnagai ??
Not yet. Has a good quality DVD released? If yes, I will probably watch it legally () this weekend.
Regarding heroines, you should be someone who likes watching heroines who get more to do in films than just do glamour. You are a guy who loves romantic films. And in romantic films, the heroine always has a strong enough role.

Imo, Aamir acted well, he suited that 'character' more.
None did the yearly review?

As a neutral movie fan, Jilla's trailer is better than Veeram. Let's see how it turns.
